I'm hoping the squeaky wheels get the oil, so I felt compelled to write my experience with the new patch as well. Before the patch, I did experience occasional FPS drops around graphically intense scenes, but my save game files never became large enough to experience the "game breaking" lag. Other than that, the game was pretty solid too, rarely freezing or crashing.

However...

After installing the 1.02 patch, I've experienced many crashes and freezes. One such crash wouldn't even let me power the system off at all, I had to unplug it from the back of the system. In about 5 hours of gameplay I crashed 4 times. In the same 5 hours of gameplay before this patch, I would likely have never crashed. It seems that maybe the crashes are related to autosaving? I've experienced all of the crashes either immediately upon autosaving or shortly after. Just a hunch...

I had maybe 1 crash in 100+ hours pre-patch, and I'm averaging a crash every 2 hours now. I absolutely FEAR the loading screen now, because sometimes my PS3 just doesn't ever leave it.

this patch, another POS from bethesda - should we be surprised?

I`m still having hard crashes every 5-30 minutes, even after doing a system restore on the PS3. I literally cannot play this game. It will always crash at certain points. Bummed

I have the same problem, before piece of ... patch, i never had any crashes with 60h+ of gameplay, since patch i got alot of crashes while loading into zone, with the new horrible long load times, i become mad !

I'm on 6 freezes total since the patch. I though patches fix games not make them worse. Before this "update" I had 80+ hours of gameplay with only a couple of crashes.

This is the last Bethesda game I buy on day one or maybe ever.

Same. It's constant, where as before I was 60 hours into the game, it froze once...now it happens every 1-2 hours...pretty ridiculous. Also had an occurrence where I had to unplug my ps3 because it wouldn't turn off after it froze on a loading screen, Bethesda fix this crap before you ruin our consoles.

Just had 4 freeze's in 15 mins was fine up to then this game is not doing my blood pressure any good

Never crash adter patch am level 29, 65 hour play.

Before patch, maybe, i reset my ps3 only one time.

My only bug is for the book in the library in my house... see another topic, am not alone to have thia bug...
