Post Patch Re-Skins?

Post » Sun Aug 10, 2008 9:59 am

Is it just me or did some things get a re-skin after the patch? for instance I remember Moto-Runners Helm looking just like the other Fiend Helms, but now its wrapped in string and has a key hanging from it. Is this new? I don't remember it looking like this. Also is ED-E's laser glitched up/ At first his new blue laser was working, but now its went back to the red one.

also when you do that mission for the aces theater in the tops casino where you recruit acts you get hadrian that ghoul comedian to perform well in a couple days a guy stands outside if you talk to him he tells you about him and if you try to talk to him again it wont go into a dialog box and he tells you you got to see hadrian for some reason after the patch his voice changes.

When you talk to him it is inside a dialog box and he tells you about hadrian and when you try to talk to him again it wont go into dialog he says you really need to go see hadrian and his voice is different than when you first talk to him,I'm not talking about that difference. When he says you really need to go see hadrian outside of dialog it is now different than it was before the patch.

Has anyone seen the drunk female NCR troopers dancing in the ultra-Luxe fountain nvde? With the securitrons telling them to put their clothes back on and passing patrons riling it on? That has to be a post patch thing.

I have not seen that in the original unpatched version.

None of the BSA files were touched for the update, so if they did anything with that particular helmet than they probably just changed the mesh to another pre-existing one.

What about all of these "scenes" that we are encountering? Perhaps bugged things that were suppose to be in the game but glitched up, like the song files? In 1000 hours of lay time through seven characters I've never once encountered the scene that I described earlier.

They were in their underwear and their dancing looked like something out of a MOD...but I'm on the 360...

EDIT: I haven't even been playing a lot post patch, but someone else tell me they've seen other crazy stuff out there. I searched the threads about it but didn't find anything. Like I said, maybe this stuff was already in the game, but it was bugged?

The particular scene you're talking about was always supposed to be in the game. I've never seen the scene myself, but it was mentioned in a few pre-release previews. It's probably a random event like that event where an NCR trooper is chasing a Brahmin through the streets... ah good times.

I've seen this scene once and it was way before the patch. But only once and I've done at least 8 characters, more then half making it to the strip. So it's either a really rare occurrence or like you suggested it simply gets bugged and doesn't happen.

Actually that happened right before the fountains scene. The patch had to of loosened it up. Ive seen a bunch of other "new events" as well.

Now that the "nvde" bit is clarified- seen that at least 5 times pre-patch. On only 3 characters. PC here, no mods.

How about female NCR soldiers in uniform dancing along with the prosttute near the gate outside Gomorrah? Saw that one pre-patch as well.

One thing thats weird still not fixed is that the drunk soldiers on the strip if you talk to them they stop walking like their drunk and they talk like they're sober.

I did notice the Flour box has a more detailed texture compared to the one in FALLOUT 3. Another thing which is different are npcs and enemies are now appropriately dressed for their situation. Those two neutral npcs one sees hanging out by the tracks seemed out of place before in their previous attire but now with their more..kinkier garb it all seems more believable as if thats what two spacey guys trying to be too macho would wear standing out in the blazing sun all day.

While I haven't seen the brahmin event yet, I have seen the girls dancing in the fountain event well before the patch.
