Radiation in New Vegas?

This may be a total noob question, but is there rads in New Vegas? The bombs never hit them so I was wondering if there could be radiation?

Yup.
When The Great War happened radiation spread across the entire globe.
So even though no bombs hit the place directly we will still have radiation. ;)

Alright thanks for the quick reply. It surprised me I didn't know, because Ive followed this game closely and know a lot, but I was just sitting and I wondered about the rads. Anyway thanks for the reply.

Im hoping radiation is actually something significant this time round. There were hardly any heavy radiation zones in Fallout 3 and RadAway everywhere. The only time I ever contracted any form of radiation sickness was doing the Wasteland Survival Guide. I think for starters the rad counter needs to go from 200/400/600/800/1000 to 100/200/300/400/500 if the radiation levels are roughly the same.

well in hardcoe mode it′s party more present since your forced to drink water, thus forced to often consume radiated water.

It's been said there will be less radiation. However, it's not been hinted that it couldn't more of an issue in areas/contexts in which it appears (how it should be).

Lets use the other Radiation Thread that is already open.

We can start a new one once that one is glowing with all of our sage prognostications. :)
