Yup. When The Great War happened radiation spread across the entire globe. So even though no bombs hit the place directly we will still have radiation.

Im hoping radiation is actually something significant this time round. There were hardly any heavy radiation zones in Fallout 3 and RadAway everywhere. The only time I ever contracted any form of radiation sickness was doing the Wasteland Survival Guide. I think for starters the rad counter needs to go from 200/400/600/800/1000 to 100/200/300/400/500 if the radiation levels are roughly the same.

well in hardcoe mode it′s party more present since your forced to drink water, thus forced to often consume radiated water.

It's been said there will be less radiation. However, it's not been hinted that it couldn't more of an issue in areas/contexts in which it appears (how it should be).
