Class Action Lawsuit against EA/CryTek - Viable Option

Post » Sat Jul 31, 2010 4:10 pm

rofl cmon really...black ops was way worse of a release.. i couldnt even play that game at all for almost 2 months from release

ROFL cmon really, you bought a game and couldnt play it for 2 months and just sat there with your thumb up your ass while some exec asshole at Activision wiped his ass with your $60 after you signed a blatantly anti-consumer EULA?

rofl.

This is why EA and the likes release **** products, because they "know" the peasants won't do a god damn thing about it.

black ops was badly optimized.. they said the pc version would include dedicated servers and the pc version actually did so they didnt lie about anything.. they just hyped the game.

what we are dealing with is different

Unless this dx11 was printed on the game package this will fail. Crytek has the option at anytime to add/remove features, so what really matters is if they false advertised by stating dx11 on the box and it's not actually included.

How about the countless digital pre-orders that were made, assuming that the title had DX11 support after browsing nVidia's website (or anywhere else for that matter) and seeing that the title was supposed to support DX 11?

Give them time for what? To release DX 11, or merely address their customers and tell them what their plans are?

At this point, I think 100% of the community will be satisfied with SIMPLY A STATEMENT ADDRESSING WHAT THEY PLAN ON DOING ONE WAY OR ANOTHER INSTEAD OF IGNORING US LIKE WE DIDN'T JUST HAND OVER $60 DOLLARS.

This happens every time a game comes out. Someone expectations aren't met and they scream lawsuit. Same thing happen when BC2 came out, COD4, COD MW2, COD BO,. etc. Goes nowhere fast.

This is really a joke... why not just play the game and enjoy it? The game looks GREAT on PC. And above all, its FUN to play.

Then again, if your willing to go through a class action lawsuit with the hope of "getting a full refund" then clearly you have bigger worries in life...

its like this new store saying super quality cheeseburgers with delicious meat and stuff like that. you buy the cheese burger and when you eat a bit from it, there is no meat.. and on the box it says onions, w/e sauce u want, pickles and bread but no meat. do you think thats justified?

What are you talking about? Are you a paid employee?

How is the game FUN to play, when the multiplayer portion doesn't even work?

How is the game FUN to play, when there are countless numbers of bugs that ruin the game? **** man, countless times I've had to restart the game just to get my MELEE COMMAND TO START WORKING AGAIN.

I guess peasants are used to eating trash, so it doesn't bother them as much.

It's about principles and deception. When I want to buy a new BMW, I don't want the old engine, maybe the new one isn't insanely much better but it still has improvements and you pay for a product that's adequate to the times we live in. The problem is people think arrogantly deep in the wrong direction and can't really accept the truth.

Funny you should mention that.

After years of fast-food customers being bothered by outrageous claims by TACO BELL, a lawsuit was filed against the corporation that resulted in...

A COURT ORDER FORCING TACO BELL TO CHANGE THEIR ADVERTISING AND PROMOTIONAL PRACTICES.

This JUST happened within the past few months.

It sickens me to see how so many people will just accept things that are so blatantly WRONG.

CORPORATIONS OWE A DEBT TO SOCIETY.

These dirty business practices only exist because they remain UNCHALLENGED.

The sad thing is people don't do anything because they erroneously believe that the arguments are stupid and will just be shot down in court... The fact of the matter is that this is SIMPLY NOT THE CASE. Look at the credit card industry and taco bell examples I cited...

We're paying customers, we do have rights, and the fact of the matter is...

JUST BECAUSE WE SIGNED AWAY OUR RIGHTS IN A EULA, DOESN'T MEAN THE EXISTENCE OF A EULA IS RIGHT.

Get someone to sign a contract whereby a person agrees to be your slave. Yes, they signed away their rights in a mutually agreed upon contractual obligation. The court will then nullify it because it is WRONG. Just like a EULA is.

The EULA should not be signing away our rights WHILE GRANTING video game publishers the right to sell us products that are BROKEN, INCOMPLETE, AND DECEPTIVELY MARKETED.

lol, you guys should never try playing MMOs at launch either... Gears of War 2.. probably sued EPIC too? What do you guys do when you buy a game and it ends up being a crap gaming experience? Sue the developers because the said it would be fun? lol...

You know what, I have an idea, we will watch the progress on your so called law suit? Good luck, this will be interesting :-P

Oh and when they make the call that PC gaming isn't worth it based on development costs, piracy and a client-base whos completely full of ****, sue them again :)

In a world filled with so many real challenges, filling a lawsuit because "the game didn't have DX11 and we be sure they said it would" and "multi player had crap launch" is just a sad joke. Why not sue your presidents because of the lies they sell and never deliver on? Oh wait, thats not worth the time right?

Hey guys, gaming forums is not the place to discuss lawsuits, please don't post them in here or the thread will be locked.

Thanks.
