why complain?

Well, I think a lot of people need to understand the difference between constructive criticism, and plain out disrespect. Crysis 2 has a lot of problems, on every platform. Some are able to play it, whilst the problems are there, and generally enjoy the experience. Some don’t, and come to forums and make constructive posts regarding how they could fix it. Then, of course, you’ll get those who just express their beliefs in a ridiculous manner. That’s generally the point of forums. To communicate with the developers/other players, and help fix issues to make the game better.

why do people have to be so vicious with each other, afterall, these pages are for consructive criticism, not for bashing developers or for verbal attacks on other players and forum users. i mean, think about it, if you made this game and had a lot of people swearing, moaning about and saying malicious stuff about your company, would you feel enthusiastic about making patches to address issues? no, if you say otherwise you are a liar and only say it because you do not develop games etc, you buy the product, plus if it is so bad and you are annoyed by spending your 'hard earned cash' on it, then return it and get your precious money back instead of being so juvenile in your constant moaning at crytek.

if you moaners out there really hate this game, then stop playing it, seems logical enough, or why not cheer crytek on, report issues in a calm manner instead of the rabbling that the forum seems to be brimmed with now, let crytek see that there is a supportive community out there, perhaps then they will feel more motivated and determined to deal with every issue we players find.

i have crysis 2, i think it is great, single player was amazing, very fun and fantastic story.

multiplayer does have issues, every now and then i do get the opportunity to play in a game that seems to run very well, but of course there are problems, so, i set the game aside until the problems are dealt with, i want to enjoy the full potential of this game, not slate it and degrade crytek, who are trying their best to fix the game up for all of us to enjoy.

and fingers crossed the problems with lag, hit detection etc will be fixed very soon.

AMEN you preached it perfectly. but here is what youre not getting. there are a very very small number of people with this common sense that the people on this post posses. and thats the problem. but i agree with what you and TC said.

a quick note why crytek might be keeping quiet...having someone on the board to communicate with others all the time is a fulltime job by itself. im guessing they dont have someone on their payroll for that, considering most of the posts on this site are complete garbage (like most of you have said before) by little immature bastards. i mean think about it EVERY SINGLE DAY more of these cry baby posts come in....its no wonder crytek doesnt say anything, or hire someone for the job. i mean who would wanna do that? ive even posted to people to stay calm and get organized...you think any one replied with "oh thats a good point lets work together to get things done"? hell no all there was, was more ranting and raving

and yes after spending an afternoon reading some of those posts it does get super annoying.

Yes they kinda have someone on payroll who should communicate with the community, but u missing point tbh mate. If they would actually just maybe put up an update occasionally of things they working on, acknowledge issues etc,and when we might see patch , then that wouldn't require full time job , just a five minute post, and would placate the sensible crowd in here( morons will always be morons).
It's just common sense and good customer service. I honestly can't think of any other industry where companies get away with treating consumers this badly and not being punished by regulators, it's appalling and has to change.

Can u imagine the car industry working like this, u buy a care and it works sometimes , but othertimrs it drives really slowly, or the Air con don't work, maybe other days it jut won't start??? Would we tolerate them saying, ah don't worry, they will fix it I future, or demand our money back or a new car that works ?? Would we tolerate being sold cars in that state and wait patiently whilt they bank our money for them to fix it months down the line?? Fair enough they get faults, and not everything can be predicted, but this is down to greed . They want our money , but don't want to finish their product before relese. In Eurogamer article on making of crysis 2 , it was practically admitted the game was rushed out, the global illumination lighting that we were told is a huge selling point in vtysis 2 visuals, well that got dropped on consoles and they used a lower tech version, as they wanted product out, and hadn't got it right yet on consoles.

The game smacks of being half finished all round, from glitches , the ai, the net code, the frame rate, poor optimisation on ps3 with resolution etc

The least they could do is take 5 mins out their day to tell us what they working on and a rough date of arrival for this patch. This game is dying as ppl are getting rid of it, and by the time they fix it at this rate, u patient ppl who tell everyone to sit quietly and not say anything etc, will be a handful of ppl kept playing game.

I'll tell you **** hypocrites why. I work hard for my money & I want what I paid for. I love how the low lifes of the gaming world bash CoD. All shooters are the same. Point & shoot, Point & shoot, Point & shoot.

You had to work "hard" for your money? Really?

Is your job shoving organic material in your ass to make crap words come out your mouth?

How did you not get what you paid for?
The disc came in its neat little case didn't it?

You got what you paid for and the company makes patches for free, one on the house.
We paid for a game to work & if company's didn t patch there broken games good luck selling anything else to the public. They make the games for free aswell then sell them.

Its BASIC - its was rushed , hyped and unfinished - this has been admiited by crytek themselves. I love the series , i just feel let down by all crytek's promises - sorry but this release was a fail whale. I bought it so i have to be patient. Maybe when they finished on that 360 exclusive theyll have time to fix all the problems.

while i do agree with what you have posted. i would assume they have nothing new to post as of yet. if you havent maid any progress cause youve been working on say PC issues for the last 2 weeks. what new could you possibly post on the PS3 forum? could you imagine the outrage this community would have if they posted: ok we just finished the PC issues and well get to you guys after we deal with the xbox community? dude it would be an online riot...people would burn their computers and game.

doesnt work like that, they will have different people working on different formats, as they would during making of game, even though its multiplatform. They are assigned to working on a format and will thus be more acquainted with how everything is working on it in game , and how to achieve best performance out each format using the engine et.

furthermore, even if the above werent true, they could simply write , these are the problems we want to fix, and will update about issues going to be fixed in next patch as soon as we know when its ready, thus acknowledging problems and placating ppl slightly. alternatively, just say, we are working on ps version nnow, and will come to ps3 version next week or whenever.

However, if they arent working on ps3 issues already, u boys better get used to having a coaster for a game, as going to be a long haul.

i am literally at breaking point with this game. turned it on after few weeks, and first game in i was getting shot around corners and by ppl who hadnt even got up stairs on my screen yet etc. turned it straight off again.

I've read enough articles and interviews with devs to know, THAT is how it works.
Even if it wasn't as I said, u better get comfy then as they would take many more weeks to patch things and get them authorised by Sony to release etc etc. U would be looking at least a month , so u better hope I'm right lol
Anyway I traded mine in yesterday , as refuse to tolerate this lag any longer, on top of which trade value is plummeting which suggests others are doing same, so got rid whilst worthy anything at all .
There's just better games out currently online and better games in future , so it was a game that could been fun, but just ended up being a pain in butt .
