the simple fact is that pc's will always be ahead of consoles, but consoles are also price quite nicer. also the ps3 is better i own one i have played on an xbox with its overheating and red ring of death. plus online is free for ps3!!!!

@creptoin1n:

Of course consoles are cheaper than Pcs.
I like the "car" example the most.
A Dodge Viper ( oder nen Porsche) will always be more expensive than a Vw Golf.
But the price-performance ratio is justified when you look at the capabillities of such an high end machine compared to a console. Or have you ever heard somone honoring something like free internet and online gaming on a Pc? No because thats the "standard" for Pcgamers. So in some way Pc gamers are all spoiled little biches when it comes to gaming ;-)

EDIT:
The newest Xbox Generation ( Slim and the ones with Jasper MB) are not overheating anymore. So RRODs are now a thing of the past. And dont forget about the YLOD problem on the PS3. Only because the RROD was more popular, doesnt mean the PS3 didnt had similiar issues in the past.

the thing is that PS3 YLOD was not as large as you said. I dont know anyone whose PS3 died. I know tons of people whose 360 died. The problem is also that 360 has too many little kids kussing thinking it is cool. Then you got the game freaks, they are no fun because they kill anyone and do 360 dgree spin no scope in MW2.

PS3 has slightly better graphics than the Xbox. Wow, the difference of a pixel between the consoles makes me rage.

PC wins, PS3 has minor differences of the Xbox; deal with it.

PC has too many problems. There is so much that can go wrong. like whoopos my processor is too slow. My graphics card is not up to date. My RAM is too low. Consoles dont have that problem. My favorite game in the world is Crysis. Which is for the PC. I am just glad that Crysis 2 is for the Consoles that's all. Many people complain about that. It economically makes sense. Crytek only sold like 80,000 copies of Crysis. They will not make the same mistake. NOT AGAIN

uh... within 3 or 4 months of release they sold over 1,000,000 copies of Crysis 1. 1.5 million around july... So my bet is around 2 million copies in 1 year, which is pretty good for a super-demanding PC game that fills a pretty niche market (remember those ads on TV? no, they didnt exist :/).

Then they got the green-light for Crysis WARHEAD, a PC-exclusive sequel to Crysis, which probably sold even better than Crysis 1...

PC actually has some of the least problems. Its easier to patch, there are modding communities that may actually help you find the solution, they just have to print the specs on a box and they're done...

A PC can't have problems.
The end-user is the one who causes the problems.
Buy a PC and it has infinitely more features than any console, remains 5x cheaper, 5x faster and has 5x better controls. Unless it's, I dunno, a racing game. Then you buy an adapter so you can use controllers, if you feel like it.
There also aren't any 10 year olds.
In the extremely unlikely event that there are 10 year olds, they often have deep, manly voices and are extremely mature.
And PC users don't pay for Game for Windows Live X-Treme Gold Edition.
And PC users have mods. So much mods. Dear God, the amazing mods.
And then there's Steam and Steam sales.
And buying a PC game is cheaper than a 360 or PS3 game.
And PC gamers can modify hidden, awesome config files.
And PC gamers get better graphics.
And the last 5 games I've bought don't require a disc in the drive.

PC>>>>>PS3>360

/rant!

Anyway, it's extremely entertaining to watch 360 vs PS3 console wars.

Better before saying nothing consult internet. I found this information in this web:

http://www.psxextreme.com/ps3-news/5247.html

"To help clear up some of the ensuing confusion, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli confirmed that this hotly anticipated sequel will be almost identical on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360"

"Also, according to a recent interview with Develop, Yerli said he's not trying to prove which of the consoles is more powerful. This isn't about tapping into each system's power; it's about appealing to the widest audience possible with Crysis 2. Many say that the CryENGINE 3 will push both consoles to their limits but clearly, that's not Crytek's intent...the PS3 fans are out there right now, saying, "if you'd only use the PS3, it could excel!" Yeah, well, we'll never know."

The result is: PC>360=PS3

.............................
Gamasutra:What would you cite as the major performance differences between PS3 and 360? I’ve heard a lot of opinions.

Cevat Yerli: I mean essentially the game we run is about the same. Probably one’s stronger on the GPU side, one’s stronger on the CPU side, so depending on what you’re doing where, the PS3 does perform here sometimes better, the 360 performs other things better, but overall by the time the game ships it’ll be absolutely the same.
..................................................

Not only almost identical but as it has been said in this interview: "absolutely" the same!
