I've been playing a little bit of Oblivion. Might try Mafia 2... the demo was ok, but some of the write ups leave a lot to be desired. I'm a bit of a simulation fan, and Ship Simulator Extremes was just released too.

Currently playing TF2 and counter-strike.
Well supposedly the http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Polycount_Contest will get released in early September (VALVe time) and then Amnesia, Civ V,DR2 ,etc. so in September ill be well occupied until Fallout:NV. :)

in my opinion no :/ traded it in days later.

i would think it was a great game other than the cars seem to have monkeys designing the turning mechanism, im more likely to hit the fat kid across the street than to turn a 45 degree angle in under 6 seconds lol

Right now I'm playing MW2 and TF2 (on PS3 because I cant afford a good computer :sadvaultboy: ) but I'll be able to wait. Im so dang excited for New Vegas but the hype isn't close to the amount COD gets so I handle it pretty good.

I've been trying to play RDR again. I picked it up day one, but hardly played it. The only game I'm looking forward to after New Vegas is Marvel Vs. Capcom which is still a ways to go. I really only play Fallout 3 when I'm bored. I don't have much variety or interest in anything else.

Same here, but what are dedicated servers? Likely a dumb question..
Are they like those servers like Internode that you can choose from a list (COD4), rather than being randomly placed in a random server?

Sort of the same for me.
But I don't wanna do another Assassins Creed [censored] Up.
Let me explain, I played through half the AC game and I had great fun with it, it was awesome.
But then I bought a different game, and since it was new I just wanted to "test it a little".
Well what happened? I forgot completely about AC and after a month or two I looked at it and was like "oooh [censored]..."
I had forgotten the storyline, the characters, how to climb, how to steal throwing knifes, everything.
And I didn't wanna play it all over again.
So I named it Assassins Creed [censored] Up and swore to myself to never let it happen again.
It can truly ruin a game.
So.
When NV is released I'm dropping whatever game I'm playing because... Well... It's fallout.
So even though I really wanna play Alpha Protocol, Dragon Age, BFBC and Far Cry 2 I can't risk that I haven't finished them by the time NV is released.
So I'm going to play L4D only until it's released, cause that game can be dropped at any point and returned to with ease. :)

It's not so much looking forward to New Vegas enormously much (though I do look forward to it) as much as there being a lack of games that I'm interested in. I did pick up Mafia 2 since I liked the first one, and it's alright. But I think it suffers enormously from the whole "wanna-be-film" syndrome, it feels extremely non-interactive. Especially after playing games like Alpha Protocol where you can "customize" much of the story to your liking.
The city looks top-notch, it oozes atmosphere. But the story, acting and writing just smacks off that classic videogame problem of wanting to live up to great films like the Godfather, but falling short of the mark.

Other than that, I suspect the release of Civ V will have me hooked up until New Vegas (and probably long after that as well).

Not really.

I mean, yeah I'm looking forward to it, but... currently playing a new install of Oblivion w/ a new mix of mods; and puttering around leveling alts in WoW. (The things I anticipate most are the things that aren't announced yet but that I hope will be - like a "Game of the Year" style Mass Effect 2 release with all the DLC. But that'll have to wait til after they stop making new DLC..... sigh)

I dont know about you guys, but in the last week I havent even thought about touching my video games. I am honestly beginnning to think that I will not really want to play a game until New Vegas comes out. Anyone else been unenthusiastic twords games lately, because they want New Vegas, and nothing else will do? :fallout:

Yeah I'm there already too, though I'm still working on GECK projects (converting my mod, doing Validator functions). I finished a short vacation in Cyrodiil a month or so ago, and won't likely touch a video game in a serious capacity until my vacation to New Vegas.

Expectations this high should be illegal.
