So I was trying to improve my skills before I attempted to use airstomp. When I decided it was time to give a try to it I have just felt compelled to agree with the community, AIRSTOMP IS USELESS. I have never died by an airstomp. Aside how difficult it is to hit someone with airstomp, compared to the other perks it is a waste. And then i keep this i mind to the point I have an idea. Sure, I've seen a lot of people telling Crytec to remove airstomp as a perk, but they do never think about the perks in general, as they are a set.
They have to fit the same number of perks in the three different nanosuit modes (armor, stealth and power). Removing airstomp will cause a lack in armor perks, what lead me to believe Crytec should ask the community, PC, xbox and psn players, to contribute with their respective platform-based Crysis 2 communities, since gameplay based for consoles isn't the same for PCs, in order to choose a perk replacement for it. First Person Shooters in PC are 'faster'; if you search videos on youtube you will see that console players switch 5 times less in between the suit modes.
There should be dedicated threats to solve the nerfed-based-airstomp-problem in the upper threats section allowing users to vote or wish what they want in place of Airstomp.
Moreover there is another way to make the game more fun. Instead of lowering stealth enhance and mobility enhance in order to buff the other perks (like airtstomp), make sprinting and cloaking cost less power when using another stealth or power perk.
Remove airstomp as a perk. Make it accessible to everyone and let the community choose what will replace it as it will be good way to promote the community. Diminish the cost of nanosuit power when sprinting and using cloak mode so the other perks will be as good as stealth enhance and mobility enhance (a 10% change would be good).
