11 means that Skyrim will support Directx 11

Maybe we will have 11 cities? 11 Races, or 11 types of swords? How about 11 skill sets? Maybe we can wear 11 types of clothing or armour? 11 ways to customize your character?
11 gods maybe? 2 more new ones who are false gods but claim to be gods? Maybe Jagar Tharn finally became a god? 11 Dragons we have find? Let the guessing continue.

I wonder if the guys at Behtesda are having a good laugh at us now?

They could make it 10.11.11. or 12.11.11. Then they just made it 11.11.11. because its easy to remember and its ... cool ...

It's being released on remembrance day. On Remembrance day (in Australia) at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, there is a minutes silence for those lost in war. I'm pretty sure they stopped fighting for 1 hour at that time in ww1 or something, and that's why we do it.

Spooky.

Nah, the real answer is people like to mae patterns.

Yeah,we do that in Turkey too.I think its about the Gallipoli War (Ottoman Empire vs French,England,Australia and some African countries)

no offense but you guys are fools haha. the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in the year 1918 is the END of WW1, not just a lull in the fighting. also pretty much every country celebrates remembrance day, it has nothing to do with Gallipoli, just the first world war in general, so Canada for example celebrates remembrance day with a moment of silence and so forth. However im not sure if countries that did not participate in WW1 do anything.

It is a very easy to remember date. They won't get it mixed up with all of the other games. And it brings talk to the game. A friend asks you when is Skyrim coming out and you say eleven eleven eleven they will continue the conversation about Skyrim for longer.

Edit:

In oblivion 255 is the highest you can set your skills to through console commands!!! CONSPIRACY!!!

That's nothing special really, it's just the highest number available with that 8-bit.

So does that mean us folks in North America have to wait 3 days extra to get Skyrim? Why oh WHY can't we get Skyrim on 8th? We should be getting the game 3 days before our brothers and sisters from the rest of the world. :D Just kidding there.
