Skyrim is fun but really it should have been better (Long)

I felt like I had to make a few very hard choices:

Spoiler
- Kill Paarthurnax or let him go free and not be able to continue helping the Blades. This was a very tough one for me because of the nostalgia of the Blades in Oblivion I really, really wanted to help rebuild them. But in the end I just couldn't kill Paarthurnax.

- Become a Nightingale by pledging your eternal soul to Nocturnal. My character might have been a thief, but he was no Daedra worshiper, so this was another tough one.

- Finish the quest and loose the Skeleton Key, or just keep it. Again, another hard decision IMO.

Also, in response to reactions in the world, you do realize that all of those things have to be scripted and voice acted, right? With a world that is this huge and litterally hundreds of different places to explore there are also dozens and dozens of different scenarios that have to be accounted for. At some point, developers (and modders also) have to draw the line and say that's enough content. Sure, would it be cool to have every NPC in the game have dozens of lines of background and dialog commenting on your exploits? Sure, but that is not practical with a game this size. If you let it work for your imagination should be able to fill in some gaps but only of you let it.

Spoiler
I think the ending was the perfect time to end the game, just the right length, but I think alduin should have other dragons take over after he's dead

As far as complaint posts go, that one is actually decent. Thanks for thinking it through, and I agree with many of your posts. I recall being beaten to death by a frost dragon 7 or 8 times once, when I FINALLY killed it it was awesomely thrilling! The joy of success was directly proportional to the chance of failure, and I'm sad to say most quests don't offer that kind of challenge. Of course making things do-able is great. Making them too easy and linear svcks all the fun out of it.

The lack of consequences is annoying too. When I kill a dragon in a city, the least people could do (beyond running up to it and gawking) is give me special treatment, for eg. the bard at the inn could play a new song in my honor, or the guards could ask for some pointers. And if I continue to kill dragons in other towns, they could mention it and maybe it could open up different dialogue options and quests. when I become leader of any faction, the regular people should react to me vastly differently, and some should sycophantically pander to my every whim, others plot my demise, the kind of things real leaders have to deal with. The lack of participation of regular NPCs in my quests makes them feel pointless.
