What would you prefer? A full expansion or multiple DLC?

I would prefer an expansion, but I strongly think it ought to take place in Skyrim. The TES series style is a new area each game, and I would not want to spoil the novelty and excitement of any future game taking place in other lands. Also, hands of the Thalmor!! That story arc deserves an entire game, with the Thalmor empire now dominating and the PC able to play as a Thalmor supporter or a rebel.

There are plenty of diverse landscapes that can be made for Skyrim to use as the setting for any major expansion. A dense lush forest (like the forests hat covered all of Scandinavia and Northern Europe a few hundred years ago), extended ice sheets covering sunken lands, and a vast underground chasm (think Morrowind's magma type caverns) comes to mind. There is also scope for the dragonborn to look skywards, learn to fly and start to raid cloud fortresses, jumping between them like a ninja paratrooper

Both. I'd like a full on expansion, but I'd also like some smaller ones that I can pick and mix according to taste.

The Shivering Isles expansion was utterly wasted on me since I always play goodie two-shoes and there was simply nothing to do there for me.
I loved Knights of the Nine, the Fighter Stronghold, the Mages Tower and so on though, because I could buy what suited my character at the time, and leave what I didn't want. Knights of the Nine was especially good value for me since most of my characters did the questline.

In Skyrim I would happily pay for DLC that offers housing, companions, more armor/weapons and more spellbooks.

Bethesda already has the DLC planned out. It will be multiple smaller DLC, but they will have more content than the biggest Fallout 3 DLC.

Yeah, so basically it's a combination of both answers, they'll have more than one and they'll probably be expansions.

I voted full expansion but I don't mind both.

If they could do something like they did in Oblivion with Shivering Isles or in Morrowind with Bloodmoon I would already be very satisfied...For instance a full story line in Summerset Island would be greatly appreciated.

I would want a big expansion like Shivering isle or Bloodmoon instead of some DLC which just adds things like horse armor or a new faction. Given the size of Skyrim added content looking like the current content would be barely noticable, and modders can make that anyway, so I wouldn't buy that. But a new large area with quests and new stories, which looks and feels unique would be much appreciated.

I'd rather have something like 2 expansion packs rather than 5 small DLC packs.

I'm assuming the fight with the thalmore won't just be the next game. It will most likely be the ending of the next game, but I think the dlc is going to deal with taking the fight back to the thalmor or at least getting footholds in other countries and starting a rebellion.

The way they put a huge amount of focus on Dwemer lore and ruins (part of MQ and an entire city with ruins and museum) I think one of the DLC's will be about them, I also think the last or biggest one will be the fight with the thalmor... The dominion is put into most big areas of the game, and made to be very annoying, evil, and intrusive. It's obvious what they are foreshadowing because they are forcing intrigue, interest, and emotion on some key areas.

DLCs are good if they have lots of content. The ones released for Fallout3 like Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta were great with plenty of meat to them.

At least if there are multiple dlcs you are bound to get one you love, but if its just one single expansion it could end up being something you don't particularly like.

I 'd like to see something outside Skyrim , although i doubt it will happen since it would mean too much work for an expansion .

I have a feeling that if they make an expansion , it will be a travel in time before Winterhold was destroyed or perhaps in Blackreach , there is a lot of potential to Blackreach that could be exploited

I'd like to see an expansion, but it's not happening because this is essentially being treated as a console game for money making purposes. Even a truly large DLC won't happen due to Microsoft's size limit on DLCs. Basically, don't even bother hoping for anything truly major - they'd have to eschew releasing it on the 360 which is not something I see them as willing to do given their claims about the PC gaming being a tiny minority.
