True... gamestop has no qualms about pulling things from boxes. But what would they want with your map?

Hmmm... Tesco starting to look a bit iffy to me. Think I might be cancelling the order and trawling round the supermarkets on Thursday

PS I'm in South Queensferry, where are you?

I wouldn't put my hopes in to Tesco or any other supermaket online pre-orders. They've always been late with shipping for me, GAME on the otherhand are always early or on the release day. (plus you get money-back if you have a Rewards Card)
Otherwise, Steam be the best option for release date.

As far as I know they aren't doing it anywhere. That's why I ordered from TESCO. Much cheaper ( check it ) and I get the premium map

Amazon.co.uk, to my knowledge, will ship the premium copy map to pre-orders and it will be in the box

IIRC, they stole a bunch of vouchers for a free digital copy of Deus Ex from the copies of Deus Ex purchased new from their stores. It was a directive of the Gamestop corporate offices. There was a whole s*** storm about it.

I did preorder from them, but I'm walking out of that store with a sealed copy of Skyrim for the PC. I recommend anyone else buying from them do the same. I don't trust Gamestop.

I'd open it in store if I were you just to check they bothered to include the game.

First: they pulled them because it was in direct competition with their store. Why would they pull out a map to the game? It does nothing.

Second: when word hit the internet, gamers went BALLISTIC and they immediately stopped doing it and offered people discounts. They will not risk their reputation like that again.

NO IT DOESNT. The Collectors Edition has the little PAPER MAP

The Normal Pre-ordrered edition gets the premium map ( which is very thick paper )

Nice to see there is still so much misinformation about the 'premium' map being passed around, and here I was thinking this issue had been dealt with weeks ago... :facepalm:

You're right, it doesn't make sense and that's because it's not true. The premium map is in all initial copies of the game, including the CE. It comes in the box. People who buy it at a later date will get the standard paper map.

I wouldn't worry, from what i gather every first run copy of the game gets the fancyish map - so if you pick it up day 1 you should get it anyway from wherever...i ordered from tesco entertainment and they've said i get the posh map

ALL the pre orders and first batch of games (regardless of were you buy it) come with the higher quality map.....when they all run out, the next batches will then have the cheaper quality one.

I hope I get the premium map but I am not going to cry if not.

Though I may kill the staff in GAME if they don't give me it.

Unless they do the packing, I am sure we will get it. It's not like Bethesda would send the map to every retailer except GAME. :shrug:

Acording to Shopto.net, The publisher has confirmed to Shopto.net the map is cloth. Shopto.net are now stating on their website its cloth. Interesting, we will have to wait and see...
