Mine is indicating 1 AM but I assume this is because steam doesn't show minutes? I don't want to wait an extra 59 minutes >.<

The "midnight in every timezone" thing was clarified last week. Pete meant midnight for each region, i.e. North America, Australia, Europe, etc. Meaning there will be a midnight timezone in each region, but then it varies from their based on timezones So in the US, its midnight Eastern time, which works out to 9PM Pacific. Which is exactly what Steam is counting down for me on the west coast of the US.

There are different unlock times all around the world. First unlock is 12AM Australian time on their east coast. (thats why NZ people see it as 2AM.)

That's not exactly very fair for people in later time zones... Some people will end up playing for an entire day before others can, depending on your time zone.

Since the 360 was leaked nearly two weeks ago and retailers have already broken the street date, I hardly think 24 hours is going to make a lot of difference.
