I plan on being one of the first people in line. My girl picks me up from work @ 10PM, and we walk across the parking lot to get in line at 10:10PM. I don't mind the wait, I just want some extra goodies!

Wow that's strange. Just to be safe, call your Gamestop tomorrow to see if you're in the system. They can check your pre-orders with a phone number and a last name.

IF YOU ARE NOT IN THEIR SYSTEM THEN YOU DON'T HAVE A PRE-ORDER! Go to the gamestop before six pm and pay it off at least partially to ensure that you have a copy waiting for you!!

If you do indeed have a pre-order (or get one), then at the midnight realease just go to the counter, confirm that it's paid off (bring money for this!), and they'll hand you a copy at 12.

I doubt my town's Gamestop is giving away anything. For the DA2 midnight release no-one got anything for free which leads me to think the employees kept the "free swag" for themselves lol.

If I go to Best-Buy can I pay for the rest of the game at the midnight release? Or do I need to show up with it already paid in full?

They shouldn't, that's a really crummy thing to do. =( A lot of advertising gets thrown away, and we tend to give it away if people just ask.

I have been to numerous mid night releases. My advice is to get there at midnight. Wait in your car until the line dies down, and is inside the store, then go in and wait. There is no reason what so ever to get there hours early. Game stop pumps through mid night releases so the latest you'll leave is 12:30.

I'm considering camping out, but I have no one to go with, lol.

My local gamestop doesn't usually have very many people show up, we only have 50 pre-orders, so I normally show up at 10:00 for the raffle.
And the pizza...Mmmm free delicious pizza.

I'm in Dallas Texas so I usually get there around 10:30pm which puts me toward the front.

I never got a message from my local Gamestop but I'm fairly sure that they don't actually have my number, since I pre-ordered it under a weird name (it was a whole huge ordeal finding my pre-order to transfer it from one Gamestop to another last time), so I'm sort of concerned. I think I'll head over to Gamestop on my way back from my lab today and ask what they think I should do.

I recall when I showed up to my last midnight release, I showed up around 11 or so and one of the employees came out to inform everyone who hadn't already received a finalized receipt to make a separate line and make the finalized payment then.

I do all my Pre-Orders at Best-Buy (mmmmmm, free Chic-Fil-A) in Arlington, Texas (huge population) and I believe there was all of 6 people at the Battlefield release and maybe 30 people at the MW3 release.

So I plan to show up around midnight and go from there

I also had a question regarding this. I get off work at 10 pm. I still owe like $10 on skyrim (I have a $10 coupon that I have to wait to use). Will I be able to head straight from work to gamestop and be able to pay the rest off and still get it at midnight or will they stop accepting payoffs at some point before 10? Any help is much appreciated.
