Anyone else having RL getting in the way? : V - Skyrim

I am picking the game up midnight, tomorrow.

I am skipping school friday
I am skipping work saturday
I am skipping church sunday.

Skyrim. Thats all I have to say.

Got college wich is getting in the way im afraid.

Or its the otherway around; skyrim gets in the way.

Have second doubts about if i made the right choise with my study so it hasnt been going to great lately, this sure wont be helpfull but... i will be more happy haha

I wouldn't say that RL (my job and my family) are in the way.

My job pays bucket loads of money, and I actually love what I do for a living, and my family are the best!!!

I'll play Skyrim on my free time this weekend :celebration:

Nope putting RL on pause for the weekend, not back to work till Sunday, so phones going off the hook, doors locked, curtains pulled and woo betide my wife if she even thinks about us going shopping on sat

Anyway who needs RL when we have skyrim.

Yep, I have to put Skyrim off for a whole 3 weeks at least, because I've literally got 10 research projects on top of classes and my assistantship work (the joys of being a grad student).

I should have gotten work off tomorrow. I svck. However, I am still going to the midnight launch tonight and I am planning on playing till 4 or 5 and then powernap. I don't work weekends so my weekend will be pure bliss. Plus my wife couldn't care less how much I game (which is a huge perk).

So Skyrim unlocks 11/10 at 11pm where I live but I have some things getting in the way:

1 - I can't stay up till late cuz I have to work the next day so I'll probably just scratch the surface of the game tomorrow night to see what it looks and feels like, nothing more.

2 - Friday I have to work all day then at night I'll hang out with my friends who don't play video games at all. I know I know, I should say screw the friends but they are the last piece of non nerdness still left in my life, so...

3 - Saturday morning I promised my mom I would help her clean her house.

Wich leave only saturday afternoon to really start enjoying Skyrim to the fullest. Now that sux.

Anyone else having RL getting in the way of enjoying Skyrim asap?

I work overseas for 20 days at a time. I bought a gaming laptop to play it while away but I have to wait until Sunday afternoon to be home to install my Pre-order :snoring:

I took the week off work--scheduled it back when I first pre-ordered Skyrim in March. LOL! It's been a long wait. I'll get my copy tomorrow afternoon, but won't be able to play until after midnight because Friday's D&D night (Friends come first -- before everything. Even Skyrim).

I'll probably be forced into going to the casino's with my friends this Friday and have to gamble, get drunk, and hit the club until the sun comes up. F' my life...

job homework girlfriend mass loads of mates wholl literally try to drag me by the ear to the bar Ya thats life but weekend shall be fine apart from maybe saturday night im going night club then but yer xmas holidays will be brilliant :facepalm:

Picking up my copy that I reserved in a local HMV close to work. Everyone behind the counter was talking about it lol.

Will probably go in an hour early so I can shoot at 3/4pm, get that badboy home and play the weekend away! Woo!

Yeah, I've got stuff to do all over the place.

Right in the middle of an internship at a pretty cool software bureau; also writing a comic-book story; chess tournament and some political activism here and there.

Still, variation is the spice of life... I'll try to treat this like any other game, except I'll be saving up quite some tv-series, manga and movies to watch them later. I love the post-industrial era. :-)

I work nights so normally it'd be fine. I'd have from midnight thursday to Friday night to play. However, I have frickin' jury duty thursday. So, I don't know what my sleep schedule will be like. I may sleep through the night, depending on how late it is. >=-( Then I work all weekend.

Show up dressed as a Nord - they will let you go early :biggrin:
