Im still undecided if my warrior will be Nord or Imperial and if I should invest some in archery. Any suggestions?

I have absolutely no idea what to do with my first character anymore. Heavy Armor is better than Light in pretty much every conceivable way, so I think I might switch my Battlemage to Heavy Armor, which adds an extra 4 or 5 perks to my build. Confusing as hell.

I thought Dunmer had a 75% resistance to fire?

They did in Oblivion; not sure about Skyrim. Can someone confirm?

RAF1940, I recommend you just pick a race you like and make the character as cool looking as possible. Don't plan a build - just go out and do whatever comes most naturally to you. If it's not fun, stop doing it. Your character will naturally evolve into exactly what you want to be playing.

That's the theory, at least!

Personally, I have four different characters with full personalities and backstories all written up. Gonna make them all tonight and rotate between them all day tomorrow

This is probably what I'll go with.

That does sound the most fun.

I'm going to be a Nord. I'll mostly be a warrior type, use a one handed weapon with a shield. While also being sneaky sometimes with a bow. Throw in a little thievery and you have my character. I don't see myself using magic too much.

What's the best way to experience the game the first time through, in your opinion?

And people who have played: how's your first build working out?

Been testing things out with a Argonian, but that's not the race that i'm rolling with... gonna change later on.

Maybe a female Nord this time... or Breton

They have a resistance to fire, yes. I don't know of the percentage.

I am thinking about going as an Argonian Necromancer type summoner like I was in Morrowind and Oblivion but will see when I get it the game looks beyond awesome

I am probably going to make a heavily armored breton sorcerer who can affect the minds of others and reanimate bodies. Kind of like a heavy metal puppeteer. Awww yeaaahhhhhh :biggrin:

Im torn between a high elf pure mage and a wood elf ranger. The magic system looks amazing and the fact that you can have a dog for a companion and maybe other creatures will make playing a ranger very enjoyable.

Don't worry about it at all, seriously. They really weren't lying about just playing how you want to play.

Just wait until you have the game, then use what ever weapons, spells and armour you want.

I will probably play as a Nord first. They are just about tied with Dunmer for my favorite race. So probably a male Nord, and then female Dunmer, followed by an Argonian or Breton. Unsure about the gender on the last two.

Because having big shiny muscles and good with a axe and sword is more fun than throwing magic glitter and shooting bows.
