Why have you forsaken me?

Graphics are part of what makes a game good. You don't get to decide for everyone what their opinions on the graphics of a game should be.

I would place a large sum of money that the Gameplay > Graphics crowd is the majority 'round these parts.

Hi OP:

It's really not a bug issue until others confirm identical problems using different PC's. While I sympathize with your post and now feel a bit of dread as my PC Skyrim is to be delivered today, I'm not sure I'll encounter the same issues.

One huge thing you have not considered is that console games are easier to produce than PC ones. The reason is simple: unity of hardware. One X360 is the same as any other X360 while over here in PC land, I'm sure my gaming PC has utterly different hardware than your new laptop.

So before concluding that Bethesda just tossed off a poor PC version, let's see if the errors you encountered are common to most PC's. If not, then all you are saying is that Bethesda did not test this game on the laptop you bought.

PC's are meant for WoW. That's what the video game section of a game store that is a small corner tells me these days. I'm 28, so I'm also on the older side of gaming, and the last PC release I purchased was Civilization 4. PC gaming is a near dead industry.

how come Pc sales are up year on year and far higher than 10 years ago? CIV5 is the best selling CIV game . PC is dead my foot , i'm sorry but the facts don't agree with you , ask steam and its 35 million users.

Where did I say graphics was the biggest problem? Do you seriously think the interface is just graphics? Mind-boggling. You think a seriously flawed native control scheme is a "stupid thing"? You have to be intentionaly trolling; no one can be that stupid. In which case, your future posts here will be ignored.

Graphics is the one thing I don't really have an issue with except for Howard's promise of delivering a higher quality experience for PC gamers. Please reread the post, even just the second half of it if you have ADD or reading hurts your brain, to understand my issues.

You reek of elitist [censored].

That being said, I understand how bugged keyboard mappings could drive you coo-coo-bananas. I did skim over that "little" bit, my apologies.

However, it was no secret that this was being developed for consoles first and foremost. I'm pretty certain there will be fixes to most if not all major and minor PC issues.

Expecting any modern game without bugs is more or less ignorant now-a-days.

Good thing I did not bought the game yet. Problems can be solved, but I want them solved before they'll get my money.

I fully understand what the OP is going through on this. It's bugging me aswell, but not that bad....for the most part. I'd say give it a couple of weeks for a patch, the game JUST officially released yesterday.

I am 100% with the OP. PC games are usually $49.99 and most tend to be very well optimized for PC in terms of performance and UI. This game is 10 dollars more than the average AAA PC game and it wreaks of console left overs. The biggest culprit for me is the buggy UI. Here is a list of all the bugs I found in under 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 [censored] hours and I'm not a QA tester or anything!

- Many functions still use default keys even after rebinding the keys in the control options: Lockpicking, map scrolling, dropping weapons, favorites menu scrolling, etc
- No crossfire support
- Sound volume is very very low
- Not necessarily a bug: FOV is ridiculous with no way to permanently set it. When set to a higher angle, you can see the end polygons of the arms during certain actions (casting the starting fire spell for example)

Also, how the hell do you not include a user manual when you are charging your customers 60 dollars????? Get your act together Bethesda.

According to the reviewers and people who have played the PC game on high or ultra, http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/skyrim-performance-benchmark,3074-2.html and are better (to what degree is of varying opinion) than any console version.

It's just fine. I have a PC and it runs quite well. Latest Nvidia drivers with the Skyrim SLI profile included. It has some clumkiness in the controls and there are a few things need attention but pretty good for a new release. It's an RPG but the hack and slash and aimed stuff does suffer a bit from what I call clunkiness.

Game seems good, I have enjoyed nearly all of it so far, in about 6 hours so far. Kinda going along with the game.

For me it's fine, I'm not having much problem with it, except when I want to change weapons, spells, armour, or want to use a item.
If you stop to think about it, it's kind of a big deal, since we're constantly doing that, and it does not look like something complicated to solve.

But it's not making me enjoy the game less because of that, and I'm sure mod will appear as soon as the mod kit gets release, so I'm not worried.
And besides the UI, the game for me is pretty much perfect.
