Vampires: essential questions

I am beginning to think that just perhaps it might be possible that vampires don't have to feed on people who are asleep. According to the book "Immortal Blood" from Oblivion, it's only the vampires in Cyrodiil that feed exclusively on sleeping victims because they've become more like humans than other vampires, in order to integrate better into society.

We know. While vampires in Cyrodiil can feed on people by using hypnosis, they prefer to feed on sleeping people.

And Todd Howard already confirmed we feed on people as they sleep.

I think they are talking about the ones seen in Daggerfall. The Selenu and the Montalion, who by lore can also conceal themselves. But unlike the Cyrodiilic vampires they burn when going to holy places, burn in the sun and have lesser powers.
No, in the article it said the vampires conceal themselves in the Breton cities and Bretons come from High Rock, not Daggerfall.

The Order in OB was a terrible attempt at Vampirism.

I really hope it's not a case of drinking blood allows you to walk in daylight, and actually decreases your vampiric power.

I just hope bottles of human blood is useful in this game. Nothing worse then being trapped in a cave by the sun while carrying human blood. Useless

I somewhat agree, I hope there are clans again, and i like how feeding allows you to walk in sunlight but I think you should be stronger when you feed.

What Order? We had no Order clan in Oblivion. Just a bunch of pesky little vampire noobz who hang around caves and forts to be slaughtered. The order by lore alone are the top of the game. Upper echelon of society, elite-esque nobles and politicians who manipulate their way in society in many ways imagined. Closest thing to a vampire from the Order was Janus Hassildor and Lord Lovidicus. The rest were just bleh! Now when people see Cyrodiilic vampires, they imagine the ingame ones, not the ones in lore.

Yes! Human blood bottles need to be of use this time.

There was suppose to be an Order, but there was none in Oblivion, I'm hoping there is an Order in Skyrim and clans. I was disappointed human blood bottles did nothing, I actually took the bottles from the Pale Lady's chamber to see if I could drink them. On that note did Count Hassildor know that the Pale Lady was a vampire?

Did Count Hassildor know that the Pale Lady was a vampire? I read somewhere that at night there would be vampires walking around in Skingrad is this true?

If he knew about vampire outside of his city, I am pretty sure he would know about vampires in his own castle. He probably cleaned the city from criminals by feeding them to her. I am 99% he may have known about her. I mean she's hidden in his own wine cellar. And the town is owned by a vampire. But Skingrad is mordid in any manner. A necrophelic Dunmer, a paranoid wood elf, a creepy abandoned house of skeletons and zombies.

Skingrad was my favorite town. But I read on the wikia for her and it said he most likely doesn't know that she was a vampire. And do you know if it is true that vampires walk the streets of Skingrad at night because I read that they do, but I've haven't seen any.

Don't trust the wiki at all. Lots of false information. The UESP wiki is more reliable. Only vampires in Skingrad is Janus, his wife and the Pale Lady.

That is what I meant the UESP wiki, sorry for the not specifying correctly. On that site for her it said he most likely doesn't know she is a vampire.

Panic! Just got infected with the vampirism desease, but it's not actual vampirism. How do I treat it or how do I find out ingame quickly what to do?

Hope to get a quick answer as I just ran to the next guesthouse and paused the game. Don't want to bother with a "become normal again" questline right now.
