Third person view..

Ever since Bethesda let us play third person in Morrowind, I've pretty much stayed away from first. It doesn't make me sick in first, but I get a much better idea of where I am and where I'm going in 3rd.

Bethesda has definitely seemed to make 3rd Person work better in Skyrim. I use it exclusively for PC with a 360 Controller. It works really well for my mage. In Oblivion and Morrowind, I liked using it cause I liked to see my character moving around. But, it never really worked out as well as I would have liked. In Oblivion, my character's head pretty much had to be right in line with a target for me to shoot at it. In Skyrim, the crosshair and my character's position on the camera view are offset in a way that I can cast/swing at my targets and move around without it being so much of a hassle.

One thing that bothers me about third person is the animation when you turn your character while your weapon is out. The legs twitch violently and unnaturally, and the head bobs up and down whenever you start or stop turning. hopefully modders can fix this
