Dark Messiah melee combat system?

To make the micro aiming easier it could be made possible to hold interact key and attack key simultaneously, making Corvo slize the sword so it's tip follows the same vertical and horizontal lines your cursor just drew across an enemys knee cap, armor joint or wrist. For this to be worth any effort I reckon Arcane Studios should try polishing that cool feature in Arx Fatalis, when you must draw the coherent spell rune to cast the spell- and then apply it in a most immersive and mobile way to this(regardless of my rant) allready immersive melee system of Dishonored. *inhale* To make the extreme cases of micro aiming just a bit easier, Corvo could allso be given a weaker version of that slow mo power from F.E.A.R(by investing a painful ammount of skill points for example, or by resticting it to only the attack+use combos). Awsome right?
By the way.. imgagine what fps games would be like with spears, should this aiming system turn out slick and immersive? SPARTA! :woot:

Sorry  It's just that Dark Messiah never did very well on consoles for some reason, so I tend to forget about them. I'm sure Dishonored will work out perfectly for each platform though, even should the devs consider our ideas for immersing moves etc.

I've mixed feelings about dishonored. I was actually hoping to see Arkane studios doing another Dark messiah (or a sequel) because they made the simply best real time melle/stealth/magic combat system of any videogame so far.

If they maintain a similar system in Dishonored it will be a solid title; the background and settings, on the other side, don't look so appealing to me. Steampunk settings are okay but with magic in it... We're dangerously approaching jrpg territory here.

The equating of any of that stuff with JRPGs is ridiculous. The entire feel of the game couldn't possibly be any more western.
