I know it's not going to happen, I'm not a total [censored]. Just though I'd add what I think would work best.

Dude, you know this is all twaddle you made up. Its never going to happen.

Lucasarts already released sandbox style single player RPG games years ago. Knights of the Old Republic (KoToR) and its sequal were out a number of years ago. The whole reason they went MMO is BECAUSE they made those games previously and the sales were decent, but nowhere near the likes of WoW sales and revenue which is what Lucasarts is all about. Milking money out of the so called "fanbase", is all Lucasarts and big G cares about. And single player games are not as profitable as MMO's and dont offer the same gauranteed revenue streams each month.

In short; Not gonna happen, been there done that, got the t-shirt.

Bioware has never made an open world game before, not on the same scale as what Bethesda has done. I played all the Kotor games, most of them were very linear in how they funneled you through areas and each area was centered around certain level ranges. The games were not first person, not immersive at all.

Just because you could choose which order you go to the planets doesn't mean it's a sandbox. Once you got on the planets it was linear like crazy.

Sandbox? Bioware? These are mutually exclusive terms.

The only game company that has come close to producing a real single player sandbox world is Bethesda. No other company has come even remotely close.

They aren't really on the same scale as Bethesda

Should Lucasarts consider contracting Bethesda to make a game?

Fisrt Jedi Order quest - gizkas plagued chancellor's house.

Questgiver - Padawan, your quest is to get rid of all gizkas. Do you accept it?
Hero - Yes my Master!

Short battle report - pull out lightsaber, slash, slash, parry, slash slash, force push, parry, slash. Quest completed, 100 credits added.

I'd be interested in the game, but not from Bethesda. The world doesn't need Oblivion with glowsticks.

This is just speculation, but word around the campfire is that Lucasarts wants to make a Star Wars based single player RPG in an open world type setting similar to Elder Scrolls series. My question is would this be something you guys would want to play? And if so, would you rather Lucasarts divert most of the work to Bethesda?

Star Wars meets Elder Scrolls?

I feel like such an a--hole now. I just posted a thread SO similar to this, and just now saw yours. What is it with TODAY and space? Hahaha.

Maybe a SW game with elements like Fallout. I would like that, sure KOTOR was a nice rpg but something different would be nice.
