jMy altmer may join the Stormcloaks. As nord-centric as they are, my thought is the Empire has become nothing more than a puppet of the Dominion, and even as an altmer myself I would rather the empire collapse into free kingdoms than have it be a puppet and slave to another power. And whether or not the Stormcloaks are "good," they are a means to this end, and as it is the status quo is pretty bad anyway.

I was pro-stormcloaks before the game came out and I have been saving Hadvar a lot more lately. You don't have to join either of them really.. just because you save one or the other doesn't mean you are in. I saved Hadvar because he is a nice guy stuck in a bad situation. Go to Windhelm and listen to stormcloak soldiers pestering a Dunmer..
