かたわ少女 means disabled girls I think

According to my, ahem, sources, it means cripple girls. Which is more offensive I guess.

Then you have a http://secunia.com/advisories/product/28955/ (They're never going to patch it because they want everyone to upgrade to 3.x where they hope you won't pay attention and install crapware and the toolbar -- I was never fond of utorrent, but their behavior makes them utter crap now)

You need to take off your computing hat. :P (I assume it looks something like this http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13877155/comphat.jpg )

You have to be a bit blind to not notice the toolbar check box, and there's not real security threat for normal users.

As for this thread, the problems are twofold:

1) The content of the game.

2) Ratslayer actually thinks it might help him.

1)Options button has filter.

2) Nope, I dont remember saying that. I was just interested in how a games writing could make people rethink their lives, assumed writing would be good to have such impact.

Yeah that's probably right, I had to google かわた (katawa) since I didn't recognize the word

and I have seen people on /v/ make positive life choices because they played this. So I am giving it a shot.

you know its possible to make 'positive life choices' without playing games where you have six with crippled animes. although if thats your thing then go for it ~uguuuuuU~

I know that. The reason I mentioned it it because to game for people to make changes to their life because of a game, must have meant it had good writing or something. six parts can be disabled, and no its not my thing. Also after playing it, while I dont see why people change their lives over it, it makes me think more of a book than anything, you have very little choice, most of the game is ust clicking, even then you dont know what path tkes you where. Still cant say im suprised people find it creepy. I found the idea creepy, but saw enough people who played the game praising it, enough to atleast try it anyway.

Let me put it anotherway: Why use software that bundles toolbars and crapware, has at least one vulnerability, isn't maintained (2.x isn't maintained, 3.x is when BT INC bought them up and threw it down the gutter), has an app store, and plans on social cloud feature integration to combine your P2Ping with Facebook when there are quality alternatives?

The software doesn't even live up to its name anymore.

This is uTorrent? Why haven't I had any issues with any of this stuff (or even noticed it) in 3.0?
