There was a time when games were released when they were actually finished.

I agree with you, but you have to remember that those games were a fraction of the size, coding, development cycle, design, and general work.

However you can also just say that they had a fraction of the people to do the work.

Bottom line, game's should not be released in needing a patch day one, then subsequent patchs.

I can understand some minor bugs. But major game crashing bugs is kinda crazy.

Although getting that 11/11/11 was clearly more important.

I've been playing it on PS3 for like 5 straight days.

It's crashed 3 times. No big deal, but I've seen other people say they had quite a bit of lag on the PS3. I wonder why some systems do and some don't.

Only 3 times?!? Figures I have the PC version and am lucky to play for 30 minutes without it dropping to desktop.

In answer to OP, Speak to the Vendor you purchased it from and explain the situation. Otherwise you could possibly challenge payment depending on how you paid for it.

Or maybe try Trading it with another player looking for a PS3 version instead of their Xbox 360 version, don't ask me where to start looking for that though.

Big games have lots of bugs. Complicated games have hard or impossible to fix bugs.

I can think one game that I've played quite a lot and I've never experienced a single bug. That game is Tetris.

You just answered your own problem. Get it for the PC and play it the way it's meant to be played.

Secondly, I think you know yourself that trolling a game forum isn't going to get you your money back..

Not wanting to get into the whole PC vs Console debate, I'm kinda wondering what you were expecting to get, quality wise? How old are those consoles, exactly? My computer is about 4 years old and runs the game with maybe 1-2 crashes in an 6-8 gaming session, I have no lag or texture/colour issues. I get FPS and linear RPGs on a console, but why would you play a sand box game of which half of it's fame comes from all the mods that 360/PS3 players wont even be able to use?

I really hope you can get a FULL refund for your game, I'm not bagging on you for wanting one. I would be just a miffed if my game played/ran the same way yours was. I'm just suggesting to maybe not get any bethesda games on anything other then PC?

[EDIT:] Sorry, that came off way more antagonistic then was intended. Let me just reiterate that I really hope you do get an exchange, friend :)

I really don't get how PS3 users are having such different experiences of the game. Are some of you just not updating your systems?

Because this whole "Mine is unplayable," vs. "Mine works perfectly," is mind-boggling. At least that experience makes sense on a PC.

Well, considering 99% of the games that I buy these days for my PS3, be they exclusives or multiplatform, run well and look great.. I guess I was expecting something along those lines? The 360 version, aside from the texture bug, runs like an absolute dream and looks incredible, so I don't think it's too outlandish to buy a console version and expect it to be a quality release.

Yes, I know how much better things run and look on PC. I'm not expecting that at all, nowhere near it, but come on, this version is embarrassing. There's no way this should have even been released.

It's funny that you've gone two pages into your own thread without actually explaining what bugs you're encountering. I still don't understand how two people playing the same game on the same console are experiencing different versions of the game.

Terrible framerate, blurry textures, muddy textures when viewed at a distance, atrocious pop in, short draw distance, washed out colors, etc, etc.

It's like two different games.

Are you playing on an SDTV? I switched from HDTV to an SDTV, since I have the SD in my own room and I'm able to play it MUCH more in there. All day if I want to.

Needless to say, I switched back to the HDTV room because the graphics were horrible. If you are only able to play on an SDTV (I know plenty of people who can't afford an HDTV, especially one of reasonable size) then I can understand. But at 1080p, I think the graphics are quite good, especially for consoles.

If you are adamant about selling your game, and can't sell it to the store for full price, then I don't know what to say. You might be able to sell it for $40 to a friend, at least they get $20 discount for a game that you definitely can't buy used right now. Or on Ebay for maybe that same price? But I think you're [censored] out of luck, should've done research instead of putting blind faith into a game that is obviously going to be overhyped. The only people who I have empathy for that have done this is anyone who has bought Fable 3, that was just [censored] up.

No, there is no one, except where you bought it from, can resolve your problem.

I can't play one of my characters anymore, save file reached all the way to 15MB, 5 minute loading times, can't interact with anything, and the lag THE LAG!!
But the game just came out a few days ago, wait a week or two for a patch that fixes the memory leaks...I just hope that this does not become another FO3 D:. They are working on a patch, lets hope the ps3 one fixes these problems....

For refunds you talk to your retailer (not manufacturer), its common knowledge really. In your case though all you can do is contact your government and complain about poor consumer protection law. Best of luck.

Have you even tried going to the store you bought the game and told them your situation, they might allow you to exchange it for the 360 version?
