Personally, I'm just a little sad that you CAN craft things like Daedric armor. Granted, you have to be high level, but for me, the appeal of high level armors is just that they're extremely difficult to attain/find and that there's a certain mystique behind their craftsmanship. I think crafting could have been used as a great buff skill that augmented the armors you found. Crafting a set of daedric armor is akin to crafting a rare artifact; it doesn't make a whole lot of sense and takes the magic away from finding that one set scattered across the game world. Then again, I'm simply stating what I think, given what I know and I haven't really played too much into the game as of yet.

Ever play Oblivion or Morrowind? After you hit a certain level, Daedric items fall from the sky.

Its a role playing game. I choose not to play the all powerful blacksmith and i have fun.

Again, my theory on why blacksmithing is overpowered is because people can stack a lot of +blacksmithing gear, drink the +blacksmithing potion, then make insane gear. If they do not exploit the system like that, the warrior cannot possibly kill a dragon in 1 shot, or make gear that dwarfs the legendary daedric rewards.

I'm pretty sure blacksmithing isn't intended to be exploited like that. If you make stuff with only 100 blacksmithing, the gear should be reasonably balanced, and it will also take the warrior 10 hits to kill something.

Did you somehow grind out Smithing to max level before actually doing anything else? I've only been crafting enough to make my own gear for me and my companion and I have good quality stuff (better than most things I'm finding) but don't feel overpowered.

Then you obviously did not smith your own weapons and then use the grindstone on them.

I love how people exploit a flaw in the game to its extreme and then complain afterwards because it let them do that, attempting to look like their actually concerned about it...Its hard to believe, because if you were really concerned with how it affected gameplay, you just wouldnt exploit it that far in the first place. Although, I do understand that is hard to do because being Skyrim's chuck norris is too much fun. (Im glad I dont know how to exploit smithing and enchanting yet lol)

I believe that is what happened with blacksmithing and enchanting. They are powerful due to exploits. If not exploited, they are reasonably balanced.

There are diminishing returns for making iron daggers, so the devs did take into account this. Though I still think that blacksmithing is easy to level compared to alchemy.
Then again, I actually make a huge profit off alchemy, but not blacksmithing.

That's because you are likely under level 45.

Ah, I'm level 24 and focused more on being stealthy (stealth is my only skill at 100 right now) so I really don't know how underpowered destruction really is. It's only good for dragon killing for me so I use it only for that purpose.

This reminds me of wearing 100% chameleon in Oblivion. Yes, you CAN do it, but since it ruins the game, WHY WOULD you? I have to agree with folks who say if you bend the game or twist it by spending hours blacksmithing to raise your level, and then don't like the fact that things aren't balanced, isn't it you who has the problem? The game offers you freedom to break it. That you don't enjoy it afterwards is your problem. Freedom is usually coupled with responsibility. Those who desire ultimate freedom shouldn't complain when lack of responsibility makes them unhappy with their freedom.

Sheesh.
