Nothing like that has happened to me really. The only accounts of mine that were compromised was this forum (last year) and Hackforums (when their database was stolen as well). But neither of those had monetary value so it wasnt entirely similar.

I wouldn't call $40 a chunk of money. More like a shard. Haven't had any compromised accounts though. Closest thing was that PSN hack, but so far nobody has used my card or even tried, so it's all good. Not that I have a large amount of money to steal anyways.

I've been hacked before, but I don't think anything was permeneantly taken.

Now if I find out I have a second bank account years from now I may reconsider my security, but for the moment my stolen goods are just some cd's and an old portable cd player.

Oh don't get me started on stolen property. When I was at university I had several PS3 games stolen, a few dvd'ss and a shoe. Not a pair of shoes, just one of them, they where together under a chair at the time but for some reason just the one shoe was adequate.

We found out who stole my shoe though, turns out he threw it in the bin on a drunken dare. So we stole all of his shoes and hid them in the snow.
