There was a point in time where i would search out every free MMO out there that looked good. At one point I had over 20 actively installed on my computer.

The only MMO I've played is FF11, and that was about 8 years ago for ~2 months. So my experience with MMOs is fairly limited :P

I've played enough MMOs and volunteered for 2 MMO companies (around the game, behind the scenes and on the forums), to know that the game play can become rather tedious and boring (especially raiding). And I totally dis-like PVP, because it attracts the worst of the player base. MMO players are also way more outspoken and demanding than single player gamers. You will see a lot of threads like NERF MAGES or Rogues are OP ... LOL

What I love about MMOs is the camaraderie, the community, the people you meet from all over the world and the friends you make. I'm still in touch with a lot of people who I've met in various games years ago.

Let's hope this won't be a grind fest and that it will be fun to explore the world of TES together with other like-minded people!

Beautifully put and spot on.

I've been playing MMOs for about 8 years now and will definitely be checking this one out.

For those on the fence, thinking "Well, I do love the Elder Scrolls world and would love to play this but I'm just not sure I want to hear people telling me how 'l33t' they are and what a 'new player' I am'" please read what Agrona wrote.

Will there be some people who are jerks in the game? Of course. Just as there are at work or school or college.

But they're a very small minority. Not the 'typical' MMO gamer that stereotypes would seem to indicate as being prevalent in online gaming.

Like Agrona, I've found camaraderie, a sense of community, met people from all over the world and made some very good friends.

So if you're unsure, don't be afraid or put off by stereotypes ;)
