That's what my dad would tell me, when I was very young, every time I got hurt. It always made me more upset because I knew it was [censored] and it wouldn't help. But now I laugh every time I hear it.

That reminds me... One night a few years ago I was really depressed. My parents asked me to go buy pizza. I went, ordered, and waited. Usually I have a really good poker face, but I guess it wasn't working that night. Some guy collects his order and, as he's walking passed me towards the exit, he pats me on the shoulder, looks me in the eyes, and says, "Don't look so down. It only gets worse from here."





Still. Pretty nice of him, I guess.
