Arcane Blacksmith is a smithing perk that lets you improve magical weapons and armor.

I believe that Dragon armour has been stated to be the strongest armour in both heavy and light categories; personally I'm hoping that with some Blacksmithing skill you can bring up the effectiveness of lower-level armours up enough to be competitive with the higher tiers. Either way, I'll likely be sticking with Ebony or Daedric simply for aesthetic reasons.

Well with the Oblivion Gates closed forever and its very difficult to make weapons out of daedric ruins i'd imagine that daedric armor and weapons will be very rare. Still, its not like you can find dragonbone everywhere you go..

It all depends on how Beth returns daedric armor. In morrowind, it was very difficult to find and there were only two complete sets in set locations in the entire game hidden away where you'd be lucky to find one or two. In Oblivion, get to level 30 and bandits are wearing them. Since you can craft Dragonbone armor, if they take the Morrowind route, id assume that Daedric Armor will remain the strongest. Otherwise, if you find it everywhere you go, i'd guese dragonbone will be superior.
You do realize Dragonbone was stronger in Morrowind and was a legendary piece of armor right?

Firstly, I hope they bring back the way to obtain Daedric from Morrowind, i.e. that being that it's super hard to find and there are limited sets. Secondly, from the concept art (and also oblivion's daedric armor) I personally think daedric looks absolutely hideous and I really hope they've changed it from 1 oblivion, and 2 what it looks like in the Skyrim concept art. I'd much prefer dragon Armor and I would think dragon would be stronger as, yes daedric is made through trapping/enchanting daedra into the armor (or something along these lines) though aren't dragons meant to be the most ultimate creatures, hence us, the dovakhiin, being the only being left alive strong enough to kill them? Which would then theoretically mean that dragon armor should be better, but I don't care tbh, I'd much rather look cooler than have the best armor and look stupid. I'm hoping with the new craftin system that we can "enhance" standard armor like iron, nordic, or steel almost up to the level of BASE dragon/daedric in armor protection wise. That would be cool.
