Will an offline mode be implemented as well?

It's not about will they or won't they... it was could they. I don't care either way, as I would just play online... but they "could" do this and a lot of players will be rather upset if they can't play online so they won't get to experience the lore. This would be a way to give those players a way to play.
Exactly. I'll gladly play online if it's my only option. but i would prefer not to pay 50 more dollars for my internet bill. It would be cool if the option was implemented. i doubt it will be. but the question of the thread was "could" and "will" it be implemented.

Yes, there is an offline mode, it's called Skyrim.

It was a bit rude, but the idea to me is perplexing.

This game makes a lot of cuts to the core of TES games in turn for adding the online experience. If they took the online away the only thing left, IMO, is a stripped down TES game. The only thing it might have over a sp TES game at that point would probably be a bigger worldspace.

I really hope not.
The purpose of MMO is for everyone to be in the same world with other people and stuff like that.
Having an offline mode will achieve the exact opposite.

A lot of MMO virgins on these boards.

No they won't be doing this. Your best bet is to find a new ISP. You have a year plus to start shopping around.
