Skyrim Nexus - Mod hosting

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:49 am

Love the nexus site, been a member since Oblivion came out.

Also I love to hear about the NMM, sounds wonderful with the "one-click" installs, hopefully most mods with use that cause it makes everything so easy.

Now, hopefully Bethesda comes out with the creation kit soon, so the real MOD fun can begin.

Don't let Curse buy you out. If you see a guy in a suit with a mallet full of cash, punch him the the face.

I already have mods hosted at TES Nexus. Our accounts linked across the two sites? Nvm. Missed Imperial Knight's post the first time through.

I don't really understand these file hosting sites, so I admit my ignorance - how come you had to split the two?

Think about the two busiest highways in your area. Now think about all the traffic from one of them being crammed onto the other. Databases and servers can't handle an unlimited amount of traffic so putting them together would just be asking for major lag and slooooooow downloads.

Ah okay. I didn't really think about the bandwidth issues, which in retrospect it seems pretty silly that I didn't think of that. Duh.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question in such a helpful manner, Worm. :)
