Lol I beat This Game In 6 hours?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:14 am

15.5 hours on easy here (yeah I svck at shooters, so what). Spend a lot of time playing cards. Did all side jobs, but somehow couldn't find over a dozen of the cards. :(
Although the main quest is pretty short, there is still a lot of stuff to do. Maybe I'll have a rerun on normal or some such.

only if it was true i was rushing through the game, did almost everything there is to do you would think they put in more time into the game singleplayer wise cause the multiplayer is boring

So you've won all the races, all the stanly express, all the job boards at all the locations, all the jumps, all the collectors cards, got all recipes and schematics, all the bash tv's all under 6 hours.....

Yeah right...

I think that the game is so huge (20GB) because of the DLCs we are going to see soon enough. Hopefully they will compensate us, the PC gamers that pre-purchased, with a better looking experience and at least 1 full DLC free of charge. If not, well, I can wait until the cost is ridiculous low.

Let's see if I can put this right so the Rage "Defenders" don't get all upset. For those of us that don't enjoy seeking out trinkets and cards this game is mighty short. Yes first time around I went linear and followed the que's, this was a very short route, but that's how I do it. (all games) I started again and completed every mission (exept Brick & Sally's Bounty) I did the secret Quake/Doom room stuff and I collected A LOT of stuff. $196,580, 18 job board missions, Bash T.V. 3 times, looted 2158 items, did 18/18 vehicle jumps, collected 42 of 54 cards, 19/19 recipes, destroyed 310 vehicles, scored 3/3 fieldgoals, and 118/130 Obsessive Compulsive score. Beat the game 3 times in 5 days (different difficulty). Longest Total Play Time: 1d,1:32:58. Regardless of personal opinion, that is a short game. Even if I had gone through everythingwhat would it have added? 4-5 more hours max? Not good enough for the price in my opinion. However, this is one hell of a fun game and the concept, although it needs some refinement is exactly what I have been looking for since I started playing Fallout. I have no doubt that this will be one of gamings finest franchises.

I just thought I would throw in that according to Steams global achievements.

A whopping 0% of gamers has gained the Obsessive Compulsive achievement for Rage. Now for all PC gamers I would assume everyone who is playing Rage is using Steam seeing as its a Steam works game. If the entirety of PC gaming hasn't gotten this achievement yet, I highly doubt any console gamers have as well.

But yeah the game can be fairly short if you don't explore or play any of the mini guns. I think I beat the game in my first play through on Nightmare at around... 14 hours. I didn't complete all of the Races, nor did I take any time to play the Rage card game, Finger fillet, the strum mini game or do much with that dice game. I also did barely any searching for things like the sewers or find any easter eggs, which is my loss. But overall With the single player, 4 of the co op missions and some Death match cars I clocked in around 30 hours.

I've started my second game also in Nightmare. I've decided I'm going to shoot for 100% as best as I can. I've done two of the sewers *Ark and Wellspring* Found the Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein easter eggs * with help but come on :P * Gone through a good portion of the Well Spring Races. I just got to the the Shrouded HQ. And I'm clocked in around 5... 6 hours? So far so good :)

24 hours with some side stuff done aswell. Not 100 % completed but i enjoyed it, did it on normal (Just to convince everybody that i'm not bragging). Not i'm going for hard, and some more completing stuff. For the person that said to beat the game in 6 hours, the game tells in gametips on the loading screen. "Talk To everyone, there is a lot of quests to be done". Once you talk with other people in town, they say that aswell. "You know this city is not the only one, that needs a hero". So why not start it again, take everything out of the game that is has to offer. Make some fun Screenshots, complete some unusual achievements. And explore every single centimeter of the game :D. I bet you will be busy for 6 x 10 hours.

Don't rush, simple as that.

My first playthrough (on nightmare) was 21+ hours long and I did everything except the sewers (forgot about them) and missed one card.

Seems like us 360 people http://www.trueachievements.com/a155197/obsessive-compulsive-achievement.htm PC people, lol
And that only shows people on 360 who have registered with that site.
I missed one card (which was the ONLY thing I missed) on my first playthough

Lies lies lies! Lies I tell you!

Sorry dude your lying. No way possible! Even if you did just the story 5 hours would still be insane. During missions sometimes you have to go a do side mission to continue. One thing I noticed after years on forums, when I see "lol" it usually means the person is saying something they shouldn't be. In this case your lying.

I would not buy another game ever if I were you. You must beat all your games in like an hour or two. What a shame. Your missing out of you go that fast. Reminds me of my little brother. Just skips everything and rips through the story. Then he always has no clue what I'm talking about when we talk about the game. I remember when he first put in RDR and he skips the entire first and second cinematic then he looks over and asks me what is going on.

If you finished this game in 6 hours then you must have sprinted through it. It took me a very satisfying 19 hours to complete and I didn't even accomplish everything there is to do. I think you'll have a better experience if you treat it as just that: an experience. Its best to soak in all the small details of this world that id has created.

Ive rushed the game doing the quests on the job boards(only in wellspring[sounds a big like goodsprings doesnt it eh?]) and completed the main campaign as well as scavenging around before i went to subway town.
Time? 10 hours
Difficulty? Nightmare

Cons
1. Nightmare is meant to be a NIGHTMARE not a little fun place where you can 2 shot kill stuff with a shotgun OR run around them fat slow bosses who cant get their aim together so they dont shoot at all
2. The game feels like they put tons of effort at the start then they just started slacking off near the end especially since you only had what 4 quests before you assaulted capital prime.
3. Was capital prime feel like an isolated little electronic army camp OR an epic covert ops mission where you go around a huge massive epicly well designed and HD city?
4. The game felt too... wave-ish like, for instance, the muties dont spawn unless u reach region X or the authority wont attack you until region Y :( i wanted it to be... RUN FOR UR LIFE THERES HUNDERDS OF MUTIES
5. The ammo just felt a little bit too well placed for a post-apocolyptic world in which nothing really exists anymore, also waaaaaay too much ammo, its like you could finish the game without stocking up on ammo at shops :'(
6. Nightmare should of nerfed everything, the HP of enemies, enemy damage, number of enemies, weakened your damage, reduced lying around ammo, etc stuff to make it harder, i like hard games :D
7. The game was waaaay tooo predictable, you would know when the enemies spawn or charge you, or when the next boss will come or even when the end of the game was coming, oh god.. this is the end... i know it.. press e(cinematic starts) , damn it :(

Pros
1. Rage card game was fun and nearly all the other minigames(racing,MBTV, rocket racing) xD a good touch
2. The driving was quite good, though the weapons are little bit OP(pulse cannon, 1shot authority cars)
3. I had fun, it had to end(a better ending wud of been nice), im looking for a sequel, i want to know what happens next.
4. Each individual character was unique and very engaging as well as the nice accents and voices.

7 Cons VS 4 Pros
:( it was fun while it lasted hope it was for you as well. (waits for sequel)
