Exactly what makes a perfect game for YOU?

Not gonna blame you, as he makes it seem like Christ's second coming.

I wouldnt say that, but beneath the ugly graphics it definately is the best game ever made, watch the review! HE calls it the second coming of christ!
It is hard to get into, but at the end its like you get a big, giant slap in the face from god  funny that deus ex means "from god" in latin.
Spoiler
Lol I dont even believe in god, but a god from the machine is possible metaphorically, as seen in deus ex with Helios merge

I was thinking of Fallout: New Vegas until the last point. I personally think GTA IV could also fit this barring the good loot system.

Fallout wouldn't work because of all of the jagged edges (I still love it though) and I don't know why, but when I played half way through GTAIV, I just could not get into it. Maybe it's because of my oddly sensitive moral compass in video games.

God from machine, or deus ex machina, is generally used a plot device to solve an unsolvable problem. So yeah, it's metaphorical.

I'm not gonna argue with you that Deus Ex is a good game, but you do speak of it immensely often... Like a relentlessly determined Jehova's witnesses' doorknocker.

I will go on until it is drilled into you people's heads, to prevent a legendary company like Looking Glass Studios (such as Arkane Studios, which were inspired by LGS) from ever shutting down. They were well ahead of their time, the audience was not ready for them it seems.

I like games with a large universe. And that have decent replay value. I'm not a big fan of paying money for something I will use once or twice.

The perfect game has to depend on the situation.

On my PC I want an emissive experience like modern warfare but also I want to be able to easily make my own maps or mods like in Hl2. To make it perfect I would add a rpg element that let me build my caracter like wow.

Something like hero academy is perfect for my phone.
Short burst action games are great for my iPad are the best.
For my ps3 I want more of a story and action combination similar to uncharted2 or bioshock etc

New Vegas had jagged edges? I know its graphics weren't stellar, but they weren't bad either.

For me personally, Grand Theft Auto IV is the closest thing I consider to a perfect game. I know many people don't agree. I actually wrote out this long post for this thread explaining what my perfect game would be by drawing parallels from GTA IV, but I deleted it because I just ended up gushing over how brilliant I think it is while forgetting to give evidence.

Sold! (not my perfect game but is close and I've always liked the idea of a western RPG)

Did you play the older Gta games by any chance?

New Vegas had plenty jagged edges, disappearing buildings/mountains, and low resolutions in spots. At least on consoles.

And I hear people gushing about GTA IV a lot, so it must be good. To be honest, I enjoyed RDR a lot more.

I've played GTA 1, 2, 3, Vice City, Liberty City Stories, San Andreas, IV and both of its DLC's so almost all of them.

I loved RDR too, but still preferred GTA IV. To each their own.
