I have been using FRAPS to record videos ever since October of 2011 and it worked well until I switched from my laptop to my desktop. On my laptop, I would record with a crappy Logitech USB Mic that I got for ten dollars, so all the audio from the game came out of my speakers, into the MIC.
Around the time I switched to my Desktop that was very recently built, I decided to get some better recording equipment. Went to Radio Shack and bought a nice 30 dollar headset that captures my voice fantastically and allows me to record sound through my system instead of an external source.
This is when the problems started to occur. In recent videos shot, I reviewed the content and discovered that audio-synch issues starts to become noticeable about four to five minutes in the video. I have no idea what is causing this problem, and have not found a way to do what would be the simple solution (have FRAPS stop recording every two and a half minutes than automatically restart).
I record at a locked 29.7 Frames a second, with video capture settings set to Full-Size (I have no clue what the other option, Half Size does), and audio coming from both, the system and my external output. I also set my games to their highest quality (even Ultra), as this computer can handle it with no problem.
Any suggestions would be very much welcome.
