Doesn't work for me... I have 4870@1gb with an e8400@3000 with the 11.10preview2 (cleaned the previous ati driver with driver sweeper and all that) and the first rage patch.
If catalyst is on, it freezes every second its unplayable but the textures are fine, if i disable catalyst i get 45-50fps with glitch textures. With catalyst on and "+jobs_numthreads 0" added to the shortcut, the freezes are gone but get really messed up textures!
I mean when I enter the first cave its like you're in the matrix or something...
rageconfig options only make the game worst (worst texture popping and randomly appearing) or they don't at all.
I tried every fix on this forum and steam forums and they all seem to not work for my pc... Soooo frustrating!

This is gonna sound lame but clear them again and before you install them inside the Config folder of the Amd drivers (example AMD\Support\11-10v2_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_ocl\Config) open with notepad InstallManager.cfg and edit the last line WorkaroundInstall=false to WorkaroundInstall=true save and install and try this aswell "go to your rage folder in steam (example C:\program files\steam\steamapps\common) and right click rage.exe and hit Properties, from there go to Compatibility and check following Disable visual themes, Disable desktop composition, Disable display scalling on high DPI settings."


Reinstall the adbobe flash player again from here

Finally! After three-day, and especially my bloody weekend, after having to try all combinations possible (rageconfig.cfg + Launch options), is that I finally found the solution for my PC, thanks to you.
Before I was 60FPS with the last ATI/AMD Preview Drivers V2 11.10 + update, but I always had "black squares" around the image, there were some passages that were impossible to play... GRrrrr!

=> +cvaradd jobs_numThreads -1 => that saved me!

This is my "launch options":

= > + com_skipIntroVideo 1 + set m_rawinput set 1 + r_swapInterval 1 + vt_maxPPF 16 + cvaradd jobs_numThreads-1

I have finally activated the "Catalyst AI", as you explained, and I enabled the anisotropy in 4 in game options.
