Video game publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced that its latest release, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has managed to sell more than 3.5 million copies across all platforms during its first 48 hours of presence on store shelves.

Why they would not fix it?????

Want to go look at the copies sold for FO3?...Maybe add onto that the copies sold for FO NV? ... right.. now if that number is higher than 3.5mill copies sold... and they didnt fix this issue for them... why would they now?

People said the exact same thing when this issue happened in FO3, and then again in FO NV.

Infact at the FONV release they were asking why it wasnt fixed after FO3, and now we are here asking why it wasnt fixed after FO3 and FONV

If anyone expects a game this size to be bug free on release are idiots. You have to be patient, and if your not, go play something else.

a ) Then people who has no internet connection for the console should be warned to not buy the product, as they'll be not able to play the game. And believe me, lots of people are not connected.

B ) Games on previous console generations were complex and big too, but were shipped with no main issues. Never seen a crash on a PS1 or PS2, seen a LOT on PS3.

C ) there are complex games on PS3 with never have a patch or fix. An example: Final Fantasy XIII.

One thought to help your (and mine, most of all...) relax....

- It's all a big anti-piracy device...the game is unplayable without the incoming patch
they just don't forecast we all put 40-50 hours in this game in few days, the patch for savefiles issue is ready, they are just fixing few lesser bugs
i'm a true optimist!!! :nope:

In my first post i said i thought it was a memory problem. Today i did some testing and i found out that playing the game for half an hour or so, then save and reboot the ps3, makes it playable. It obviously resets the ram and so it is playable again.

In another topic i found a comment of a reader who said the ram gets a reset when you quit the game and the load a save again. So a reboot is not needed cause when you close the game it is programmed in a way it clears the ram.

Haven't done it like this yet so you should try.

Furthermore, Hines confirmed on his twitter they are working on a patch so maybe this temporary workaround can make it playable.... I'm counting myself lucky not to be able to play for a few days ;) I hope the patch is ready next week...

And also, please don't go out and buy SSD disks, it does not work. Especially with those craze prices right now....
