Hey guys, check out these articles that just went live this morning.

http://www.gamesradar.com/skyrim-exactly-how-broken-ps3-version-better-take-look/

It looks like the gaming press has officially noticed, and is putting the results out there in a BIG way.

Good. I hope more big game publishers start noticing too.

Thanks for posting.

Finally a website has made a video, lets hope this gets the ball rolling some more. Bethesda can't hide forever. :D

Nice! Mods keep shutting down threads and community managers are still in hiding. Eventually have to get out of the basemant and address this. COMMUNICATE with us. That's your job.

The CVG video is excellent. IGN's coverage seems about the same as they've done with Bethesda's other issues - as long as it's hitting the blogs/twitter/forum they'll pay attention to it.

tbh, what IGN really needs to do is update their review. Currenty they give Skyrim for PS3 a 9.5, and comment this on the stability:

As tends to be the case with games as large and complex as Skyrim, there are bugs. Some are minor, like dead bodies jittering madly or poking through walls. Your hands may momentarily disappear, equipping an armored face mask may actually turn you into an invisible man, and mammoths may soar into the air for no apparent reason. More serious glitches exist as well, such as those that prevent you from completing quests. How widespread these issues are is tough to say, maybe you'll have a glitch-free experience, but chances are you'll at least run into a few. Along with the occasional game crash, these issues can be periodically irritating, but given the overwhelming number of things Skyrim gets right, putting up with them is a small price to pay.

I'm not saying that they need to skewer the game, but a) I don't think games with these kinds of major technical issues deserve 9+ scores and b: clearly the text above is not accurate. The game reviewers have had a long tradition of giving Bethesda a free pass on their lack of QA and it really needs to end.

Actually I've noticed this myself. Anytime a thread starts getting a ton of replies or 10s of thousands of views suddenly it needs to be closed for "post limit". More like PR protection because if you get threads that size they'll be quoted and linked to in articles just like with that whole monocles debacle over at the EVE forums where they had massive threads quoted by multiple publications. I also like how the mods ask for civility like its somehow owed after we got bamboozled out of our hard earned money. I only respect people who don't rob me so don't expect me to shed one tear for the dev team or the PR team especially Pete Hines. He has the time to tweet all day long about soccer and every other thing under the sun but can't come to the forums and address fans.

I cannot wait until the class action suit hits.

Nicely said LTG. I had one mod tell me that Bethesda needs "calm and lucid" responses. You kidding me? They released a BROKEN game and their own community managers are no where to be seen. It's so miserable that the mod didn't even have the decency to reply back after I responded. Where's the help? There is no communication from anyone in charge, or the mod team.

The Moderator just locked my topic explaining your rights as consumers should you desire to return the game if it is not fixed. He justified it by saying it isn't a "software issue" and equated me giving out legal information to a petition. Ridiculous. Even Bethesda Moderators won't admit theres a problem, they'd just rather smother any dissent. At least the media might get something done now they're onto it.

They obviously don't want people to be aware of their rights. And he had the audacity to say it's not a software problem? WHAT THE HELL IS IT THEN? IS EVERYONE'S PS3 BROKEN? ARE GAMES NOT SOFTWARE?

A lot of forums have rules and policies against any discussions that critcise the them, the company or the forum is part of no matter how badly they or the company have treated their customers/members. Obviously this forum is the same.

That is complete censorship and goes against the laws of the countries where they are based which protect freedom of speech and expression.
They can't open a forum to the public and then try to deprive us of our lawful rights just because whats deing discussed does'nt suit them.

Moderators are supposed to be there to facilitate meaningful discussion and stop offensive language and behaviour towards the forums members, not prevent perfectly legitimate and polite discussions because its bad PR.
Releasing broken games, ripping of consumers/fans then treating us with total disrespect because WE have the audacity to not just accept it and complain, is bad PR but apparently thats acceptable to both Bethesda and the management of these forums.

This makes it look like all they care about is the money and are frightened of the thought of however many millions of PS3 copies of Skyrim being returned.
They want to squash any talk of consumer rights and any talk of returns in case it spreads to more and more people.

Actions like this Moderator has taken make me want this to happen. I hope something like that does happen as it will teach them a hard lesson and send a clear message that they cannot stop us from helping each other. Without fans there is no Bethesda and without members there is no forums. They should remember this.

Anyway, check out this article. It is spot on and the videos demonstrate the lag problem most of us have been suffering brilliantly. Some hard evidence for the those who say the problem does not exist or its perfectly playable. Say that again after viewing this. You too Bethesda, Pete Hines. Tell us its not that big of a problem after viewing this:

I know how you feel. I had a mod be rude with me and then never respond back. Doesn't surprise me.

Wow, they took an issue that can be repeated by never turning the game off and playing straight through and blew it out of proportion nice.
Now maybe they can complain about real issues, such as the lack shoulder armor.
Or the lack of an athletics ability to effect increasing run and jump speed/height.
Or the lack of anything with substance to happen in the game like the player being able to take over and control guilds/forts...
