Paradise or Oblivion

What is going on here?

nothing good.

even though im sure this thread will be shut down.

i do disagree with the notion the video proposed, ie: identifying all current systems as failed systems, and then proposing one that is not a "failed system". which is basicly like a child saying he will grow up to be nothing like it's parents, and then becomes just like them by trying hard as they can to opose them.

all systems fail because nothing is perfect, least of all humans.

I lied about leaving just yet.

The point of this thread is what? To discuss a video that clearly has an anti-capitalist point of view, which clearly falls under politics. Ipso facto, capitalists will not agree with the video, and then the ball really gets rolling and the thread gets locked because people get angry because http://xkcd.com/386/.

If I was wrong, I'm sure you could provide for the people starving in africa getting eaten by flies... provide a [censored] solution instead of beeing a tool.

Heard of charity? Donate to one.

Why are you even paying for an internet bill? That money could feed a family.

Why can't you provide a new system? It's not like the old systems are predetermined by anyone..

The key to acieving abundance and a higher standard living for all is to automate as much as possible in the shortest period of time.

Technology often becomes a valuable and irreplaceble part of the systems where it is needed. This makes it hard to substitute it for human labour. In the immediate future, automation will cause unemployment in developing countries. This will be especially noticeable in small industries, which have relied intensively on human labour. That includes industries involved in food production.

The underlining problem is more severe than some thrown money.

True, currently it will help, but we could make an end for the said money in the first place.

you can, but they will fail. always without exception. just as mountains erode because it is in the nature of geography to crumble and break away.

The fact behind the reason all systems fail is in your words "predetermined by anyone". you are correct, they are not determined by a whom, but a what.

That what being basic human nature.

Personally Oblivion was my least favourite ES game, and I haven't heard of any Paradise games by Bethesda.
