Could the patch have actually worked, this could be it!

I think you and I may be the only people who get this! Too many impatient teenagers who just do whatever they want regardless. And then complain later about it like it's someone elses fault. My game is working just fine. How about yours?

I really hope you dont have to eat those words when you get 120 hours into the game

Ah, but see? It IS SOMEONE ELSES FAULT. Bethesda is at fault here, and don't undermine their well earned predicament they have dug themselves into. And folks have a right to complain, teenagers or not. Perhaps if you actually had to pay $60 for this game out of your own wallet, you might understand why people are frustrated with how badly flawed this game is right now. Its OK for a game as big as Skyrim to have bugs scattered around the game. It is not OK for the game to be completely broken and for customers to wait a month after buying the game to receive a patch that may, or may not, work.

We'll see. I'm currently 15 hours in and my save file is 3186KB. No noticable lag, other than in the beginning when the dragon attacked.

If I start getting lag and crashes, I'm sure you'll hear me crying loudly in this thread...

19 hours in, save file is 3215KB, still no noticeable lag. Game looks a bit like ass though.

i made a thread where im trying to list and organize all the present glitches and bugs after the patch. i dont want to start listing everything i see on other topics and forum sites without reference or a source to where the bug or glitch came from. otherwise the topic isnt legit. if you want to go there and post your encounters, id really appriceate it.

Basically a short intro. I suffered the wreck that was fallout 3 and the constant FPS and crashing issues on PS3. I was appalled that the save file bug was still prominent in skyrim. When the new patch hit I was a outraged that my save file size was still high (14mb) and my performance was still poor.

However something got me thinking, since downloading the patch, I have cleared four dungeons and done a variety of quests. However my savefile has not gone above 14mb. Pre patch if I cleared more than two dungeons my save file would rise. Now I was thinking maybe that the patch has maybe stopped the savefile increase but can't lower it. In essence, if you start a new game it could be that your savefile never rises beyond a certain point i.e. 5MB. It could effectively lock your savefile at a point where no performance issues occur. However annoyed that I'll probably never play my main character lag free ever again, but this could be a possible theory.

The save file still increases, but slowly. And this is not a fix that was promised by Pete Hines. He said that we would not have to start a new game just for the patch. I'm holding him to it.

I am very curious on the size of your save file as you go on... I am hoping new games won't be affected as badly...

According to 360 users, their save files are up in the 9mbs without problem. The issue isn't the increase of save file, it's the type of data being stored. Before, it was a ton of dynamic data, now it's mostly just general info.

Yeah, despite the fact that I'm now 21 hours into the game, I've only cleared two dungeons so far, haha. However, I did notice something interesting. I arrowed some lady to death in a dungeon, and left to sell some loot, then returned about two or three in-game hours later, and the lady was still there but the arrows sticking out of her had vanished. Probably a good sign.
