What are you even talking about? When you engage in conversation, even in third person mode, the camera becomes limited to a central plane between you and the speaker. You can swivel the camera a bit both directions, but it is centered on the conversation you are having. Aside from that, how difficult is it to tell who is talking? It DISPLAYS THEIR NAME on your screen, how can you miss that? And if anything, I'd say zooming in on the person who is talking and going "HEY YOU, LOOK, LOOK AT THIS, RIGHT HERE, THIS MAN IS TALKING, HEY STUPID" is more akin to your "omg RPGs are being dumbed down" argument than what Skyrim did. I find it much more cinematic and enjoyable to converse with someone in third person and look at our surroundings, what he's doing, where I'm standing, and how I look, than being railroaded into staring at a 3D face.
