I finally played Minecraft. It took me this long since I was put off by the look of the game and I knew that Minecraft, like Portal and liquorice candy you have to have an acquired taste for these things. Now, having said that, is it normal to get addicted to this game? Because I'm getting somewhat addicted to this game. Btw, I downloaded texture pack call LB Photo Realism Pack 256x256. It looks amazing.

Looks good, just a shame minecraft doesn't make hills more...hilly like sloped by just simply adding half dirt blocks in place but oh well

i have been playing nearly an average of 4 hours a day for the last year and a half, some days i play all day. quick math says ive been playing for about 1460 hours, I still see my self playing for years to come.

So I just had a bizarre situation happen. I was flying about at +1040.13 -2047.64 when I hit a swamp that suddenly started dying, as in, the grass was dying and turning to dirt. What the heck happened? o.o

I rage when I read things like this, because I have a rig that burns through Battlefield 3 at a leisurely pace but packs up in minecraft when I try to run a TP bigger than 64x.

Edit: The game packs up that is, the rig runs fine.

Probably a volcano being formed on that newly created chunk.
