Then hopefully they'll just discontinue the SPRPG's entirely and focus on the MMO.
To expand on this now that I'm not typing on my cell....
What exactly is your line of thinking for such a thing? In what bizzaro reality would something like this
ever be a good idea? The success of the Elder Scroll series are what's allowed ESO to come to realization in the first place. People
love these games. Can you imagine the conversation that would have to take place in Zenimax's office?
ZM CEO: Well guys, we've made a TON of money from the Elder Scrolls Online! The fans are happy, the investors are happy, and we have plenty of capital to invest both into ESO as well as other projects.Matt Firor: Thanks! It was a lot of work, but it wouldn't have been possible without the ES fanbase's support, and Todd's teams' work on the ES series which gave us the template for the online world we've built.Todd Howard: We were happy to do it, Matt, and we're glad to see that you've turned our world into such a success. So, ZM CEO, how about that next installment of TES? My team's itching to create another awesome new game.ZM CEO: Yeah, about that Todd... We're cancelling the Elder Scroll series, firing you and your entire staff and instead are going to focus our attention on the MMO. Thanks for allowing us to get to this point, Todd, really.Todd Howard: WHAT?!?! MMOs only have a given lifespan! It WILL eventually die out, given enough time! The single player installments can go on almost indefinitely!ZM CEO: Pack your bags and GTFO.Matt Firor: *Awkward silence*I dunno about you, but this makes
perfect sense to me...
