Yes that's what I mean. I do recognize that not everyone enjoys this style of play, but everyone should recognize that FFA full-loot is the closest thing to the spirit of TES, since that's basically what happens in Skyrim/Oblivion/Morrowind/Daggerfall/Arena. Kill anyone at any time for any reason and take everything they are carrying on their person. However, in TES there are also some pretty hefty penalties for it, and criminals often have a harder time living in the world. It isn't impossible, but it is certainly harder. The same could be done in an MMO, with some minor tweaking. Reputation, karma and bounty systems could work, especially if a player can collect a bounty on a criminal player's head. Imagine those possibilities. But...I've already said too much.
Hey, good point. I'd love to see the option of a hardcoe PVP server with rules like this. Semi-loot would even work well if full-loot is too intense for most players, and balance into the crime system. The more low-level players you gank, the higher your chance of dropping your weapon and/or armour when you get killed by another player. Law-abiding players have a 0% chance of dropping their hard-earned gear, whereas renowned gankers will always drop something that is incredibly valuable and time-consuming to replace if they get killed. Bounties would be another good deterrent, since that would increase the chances of a ganker being hunted and killed, making them more likely to lose their gear.
