Bob Marley, without a doubt. Actually surprised nobody mentioned him yet. Not too many reggae fans I guess. Bringing up a close second is Chuck Schuldiner, the voice of death metal.

Freddie Mercury? Frank Zappa? Rick Wright of Pink Floyd? I'm not sure many of us could think of just ONE we'd want to bring back to life...

I love all that you listed, but simply because of Zappa's creative genius, I think he'd deserve it the most. He wouldn't be dead, he'd just smell funny.

Nobody. In fact, I think it would be a terrible idea to resurrect any dead musician. Why? Because if they tried to produce something new, people would just [censored] about how their favorite no-longer-dead-guy-or-gal sold out.

I only learned he had passed away after hearing the excellent score he provided for Akai Katana.

Such a shame, way too young. Reminds me of Nujabes, who was a year younger even.
