EA Sports Season Ticket

Isn't that the way with a lot of things in life though? What's the difference between a first class plane ticket and coach? You still arrive at your destination at the same time as everyone else. You just get a premium service.

This is a premium service for those who are exceptionally excited about the games. Everyone else doesn't really miss out by waiting, but I get my fulfillment sooner for just a little bit extra. Works out in my favor at least.

I'd like to see the same thing for other games and movies even. For example, 'you can pay $20 instead of $10 to see The Dark Knight a few days early'. That'd be sweet.
You don't pay to get off the plane. Or to watch half of a movie and then pay to watch the rest.

Just when I thought EA couldn't get much worse.

That's a poor example. As far as first class plane tickets go, people are just getting priority over others. They also get better seats, better meals and better service. Planes don't take off before all passengers are on board. And as you said, they all arrive at the same time. I've never known an airline to purposefully delay a flight for no other reason than to get people to upgrade to first class. Aside from the fact that it wouldn't make sense, it's just plain terrible customer service.
