I would be a plucky young moisture farmer who was actually the son of Darth Vader.

Well like I said, Earth is starting to get over populated. And since All of Earth is mapped and seen, I would figure many humans that are adventurousness would want to see and go to actual planets.

And like I said... as long as there are people like me, that won't be a problem.

Perhaps people like you should be the first to colonize planets, because that way people can proud of their ancestry and say they were all birthed by people of decent stock such as yourself. Of course, eventually I'd want to move away from that planet anyways since the illness would take effect, requiring me to leave yet again.

I seriously want to become the first space marine, just so I can go to a 40k gathering or forum and laugh at everybody and tell everybody how awesome I am because I am a legit space marine. I don't know if I qualify for the Marines though, but I'd gladly put in a bit of work for those bragging rights.

Space Marine fantasy aside, I still want to go to space before I die, that is my life goal.

BGSF, we should raise money and all rent a private shuttle for two weeks or something in a few decades.
