The problem is more with the console itself than the game.
Completely untrue and false statement! The PS3 is completely adequate to run Skyrim decently, however it was coded to run on x86 architecture ( the 360 ) and basically given a direct port of that code over to the PS3 which is of a different ( but just as robust if not more so ) architecture than the 360. A flawed but simple anology is trying to make diesel fuel run in a gasoline powered automobile...it wasn't designed for it. The same with Skyrim for the PS3, Beth sloppily ported the code over, not caring at all if it even worked correctly. This statement that the PS3 is the issue, has been debunked multiple times, and frankly it's getting old hearing that it's somehow the PS3 hardware that is responsible for Beth's complete foul up ( once again ) on the PS3 version of a game.
EDIT: That said, Beth isn't going to be giving away any free DLC to PS3 users...it will be lucky at all if any DLC even makes it to the PS3 as a paid option. But even then, given DLC usually makes Beth's games run worse...do you even want it?
