Ps3 fans are upset.

Exactly, sacrificing the openness of Windows (which is one of its main attractive features over OSX) for the sake of an enclosed, sealed system like Apple uses. Not good for those of us who like installing whatever we like on our systems.

um.....wait are you agreeing with me now? or am I agreeing with you? im confused.

so......anyways, serious question for ps3 owners, didnt oblivion, fallout 3 and NV being glitched to hell kinda tip you off that maybe the gamebryo engine svcks on PS3 and skyrim was going to be just as bad as the last 3 games?

The Oblivion port on the PS3 was better than the PS3 version of Skyrim.

I don't have Oblivion but other than the rare odd bug and a couple of freeze games Fallout 3 and new vegas work and contiune to work fine on my PS3, skyrim has also been lesser bugger than what i've heard but has alot more than fallout 3 and vegas did and has frozen eight times on me so far :(

alright, im on PC. Im just saying every time a bethesda game comes out, forums rage all across the internets about PS3 being broken.

Saying that Bethesda games are ALWAYS buggy as hell anyways, it is known. Daggerfall is ridiculousness, Morrowind was brutal till MCP and the unoffical came out. Oblivion was gnarly as hell at launch. Fallout 3 is still buggy for PC unless you have the unoffical patch. NV was just broken at launch.

Except it runs worse than the PC or Xbox 360 version.

Having never played them I really had no idea what I was getting into. Couple that with the 100% false claims of "new game engine", and "we have spent lots of time getting the PS3 version to run well we have achieved parity with the 360 version"...

Yes, but wouldn't you assume there may be some programming similarities of their OS's compared to something made by a completely different company?
And you would be wrong as they really do not have that much in common. PCs need enough power to run whatever else they have running + a game. PS3 or 360 do not have anything but the barest code needed to run the console.
Someone refered to the coding as bare metal coding for the consoles. Maybe some tech head can explain it better.

No we're not. Well, at least I'm not, and I'm a PS3 user.
Patience is virtue - they've given us their reason for delaying Dawnguard, and there's nothing you can do to change their decision. Why not enjoy everything else Skyrim has to offer while you wait for DLC?
