I mean, there are giants. Personally, I'd get pissed off to find my family murdered by a couple of skeevers after spending too long away from home. It just seems tedious. Why is my home the only place in skyrim that gets attacked by monsters randomly? (not including the one dragon per city)

There's always the option to NOT have a family, let the wife/husband deal with it

That's what I am afraid of as well. Of course, children are always essential, but like the trailer said, you can get a number of followers to guard your home. Although, putting my trust in NPCs to guard your home that can be attacked, not so sure.

The child will live, though.

It's official, everyone! The children are our only hope of survival if we lose our home to skeevers. Adopt them while they continue to beg. They won't be begging for too long. Adopt now! Quil-Weave will be our lusty argonian maid who dies of a skeever rampage.

Plus, you can soup up your followers, but as soon as you leave them they revert back to their old crap gear. They are doomed against a skeever raid. We are all doomed against the skeever raid.

I have an image in my head of that scene from the woman in black where he looks outside and sees all the ghostly children in the graveyard

Children? Meh. I'm going to spawn an army of bunnies in the basemant to outnumber the skeevers 10 to 1 and see what happens.

You underestimate how many skeevers there are. They will take over. The Elder Scrolls have foretold it.

Only thing that can save us from the skeever raid is shrinking them. They were once smaller and could be pets. Shrink them!

I'm having trouble following people's true opinions about Hearthfire, to be completely honest. I'll see one person say something in one thread as a positive, then another thing in another thread as a negative.

I hope we get origami crafting in this too. I would like to make some paper cranes for my wife. Maybe some balloon animals for my kids.
